About the host
Hosted by Christine

Hi there! After 15+ summers of driving from Chicago to Tahoe with dogs and hiking boots in the back of the Subaru, fingers crossed that year's rental would meet everyone's needs, we flipped the script and decided to rent in the city and buy a small house in Tahoe. Now we can visit family more often and stay longer -- and never again have to wonder if the sofa is comfortable or if the wi-fi is strong (spoiler: yes to both!).
We're always happy to share recommendations for local trails, restaurants and breweries, and Tahoe-area activities for all ages. We hope you enjoy our basecamp as much as we do!

Why they chose this property
Our neighborhood is "Tahoe Paradise" -- no kidding! It's quiet and private, yet we're within two miles of a grocery store, restaurants and other services. Plus, you can hike, bike, snowshoe or cross-country ski on trails around the corner. We absolutely love our neighborhood and our neighbors -- our top priority is renting to guests who will be good neighbors, too!
What makes this property unique
We know the challenge of finding an updated, smaller house in Tahoe -- and solved it by finding and renovating a charming cabin that meets the needs of a smaller family or group of friends.
