About this property
The Stone Lodge, Meath Hill
Our spacious stone lodge is an ideal location for your escape to the Irish countryside!
Our home was originally built in 1804 and restored with the original stonework in 2003. The Stone Lodge is an ideal destination for a family gathering or a get-together with friends.
The Stone Lodge is a detached family home set in a beautiful location with countryside views to the Mourne Mountains and beautiful Ballyhoe Lake. Sleeping 8 comfortably with:
Master bedroom with ensuite,
2 double bedrooms with a shared ensuite (ideal for family),
Additional double bedroom with access to a main bathroom.
Downstairs is perfect for family gatherings with a fully equipped kitchen and self-catering facilities, a TV room, bathroom, utility room and extra spacious living area for the whole family to enjoy.
We are located on the border of 4 counties: Meath, Cavan, Monaghan and Louth. This ensures that your options for local attractions and amenities is endless. We are a 10 minute drive from the nearby towns of Kingscourt and Carrickmacross and 15 minutes from Ardee. The larger towns of Dundalk and Navan are only 30 minutes drive away.
With only a 55 minute drive from Dublin Airport and 90 minute drive from Belfast, our home is very convenient for visitors coming from afar.
The 4 Star Cabra Castle Hotel, Dun a Rí Forest Park and newly established Boyne Valley Greenway are only a 5 minute drive from our house.
Given our location, day trip options along Irelands Ancient East routes are endless. Within a short drive you can access Newgrange Historical Tombs, The Cooley Mountains, Carlingford Lough, Slane Castle, The Hill of Tara, Emerald (Tayto) Park, Lough an Leagh and much much more.
We look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful stone lodge!

About the host
Hosted by Tom McMahon

Hi, we are Tom & Grainne.
We have just recently started hosting The Stone Lodge for rentals. We lived in The Stone Lodge for 20 years and have recently just moved into Kingscourt town.
We like to travel and have always enjoyed staying in self-catering accommodation with our family.
We think there is so many great things to do in this area including walks, trips to the beach, local restaurants and pubs.
We hope you enjoy your stay!
