Peaks Island Oceanfront Cottage in the heart of Centennial Beach!
The Beach House is an open concept design with 180 degree views of the ocean and windows on all sides. It sits on a sea wall on the Centennial Beach with amazing views of surrounding islands and the absolute best spot to watch the sunset on Peaks. Steps away from a sandy beach has a public boat ramp nearby for kayaking, boating, etc. and only a ten minute walk from the Casco Bay Ferry Terminal, with taxi service available if coming to the island on foot! There is plenty of room to park your car at the cottage. We might be biased, but the Beach House is the most magical spot on the island.

We were only there for two nights and wished we had time to stay longer. The weather was pretty bad and we still had a fantastic time, which is testament to the property. We could walk into "town" and the ferry into Portland. Right on the beach, and incredibly cute, the quintessential beach house. highly recommended.
Great Stay! Near Other Rentals, will see neighbors
The location was perfect and the setup outside the house was great. Enjoyed taking the golf cart around the island for breakfast and site seeing. The inside of the cabin was very clean and came with everything we needed. The fireplace, swings, and balcony were adorable. The only downfall is the ferry ride over to the island is a little pricey-but worth the trip!
This was the perfect place for a few days after our wedding. The weather was great and we were able to enjoy the whole island, utilizing the private beach, golf cart, and crab pot (caught just one and threw him back!). And our dogs may have enjoyed the place more than us, great yard to run around, plenty of swimming steps away from our front door, and sunset cruise on the golf cart.
We had a great stay, this was our second time staying at this property. It has an unbeatable location and is the perfect place to unplug and relax for a weekend.
We had a lovely stay at this cottage on the beach. It is a beautiful location and when the tide is in, it feels like you are on a boat (in a good way!). We loved the fenced yard so our dog could run around. Peaks Island is great and we really appreciated the owner's hospitality. The house doesn't have wifi and that caused some problems for us. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!
This is the sweetest little home filled with so many thoughtful details. It is clearly a home built with a filled with a lot of love and attention. We feel lucky to have stayed here, literally on the water. The only thing it needs is maybe a latch on the interior of the sweetest, turquoise, screen door, to keep it from blowing open in the wind. We rigged up a dog leash and made it work. A very small detail! Also, when we go back, we won’t forget binoculars…there is so much to see!
We had an absolutely wonderful time at the Waterhouse. Everything from the location to the decor made for the most relaxing weekend. We can't wait to return!
Everything was perfect! The cottage was adorable; decor was unique and eclectic, the location doesn’t get any better, and the neighborhood was so quaint. Highly recommend! My partner and I plan to return!
If starting the morning with our coffee in the Adirondack chairs watching the tide coming in or having a night cap on the perfectly sized rooftop terrace & listen to the tiny waves curling up to the sea wall, it couldn't be anymore peaceful.
The house shows love in the details, has everything you need. We slept like babies upstairs on the comfortable mattress & the cooled down, no AC needed.
A special bonus feature was access to our own golf cart, exploring the island, even our lab enjoyed the ride.
One if the best vacations we had in years.
This was a great spot for a quiet weekend away! Perfect for two people, it’s a small place but plenty of places to curl up and read a book or watch the water! We will be back!
Colorful, clean, charming seaside cottage was the perfect amount of ‘off-the-grid’ living we needed for a long weekend. The home had a lil bit of everything you might need, we brought our own food/drink but also enjoyed the short walk to the market for fresh foods. We enjoyed the club car ride around the island as it was a bit rainy on our weekend to ride a bike. Now that we have the hang of taking the ferry across, we are already planning to come back to Water House on Peaks Island. Thank you for sharing your treasure with us! It was a relaxing and special 24th honeymoon for us.
This property is perfect. It’s near several other houses but feels secluded. The decor is just beachy enough without being overboard. The view and proximity to water is indescribable. Falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean waves is amazing!
Ann was the most thoughtful host I have encountered in any online bookings. Thanks for being so thoughtful and accommodating!
We had a fantastic stay. The island is incredible and this house has probably one of the best views/locations. The house is extremely charming and well designed. Having the golf cart as part of the house was extremely helpful as we explored the island. Absolutely would recommend to anyone considering staying here - we will definitely be booking again.
