About this property
Private Cabin: Mountain Views & Pond!🎣
About this space:
Private 2 BR, 1 BA cabin with breathtaking mountain views, easily drivable, ample parking. Located on 3.5 acres with plenty of outdoor space and your very own hiking trails. The property is located in beautiful Barnardsville, a valley surrounded by mountains, and a neighboring cow pasture. It is a very quiet and peaceful setting, yet only 15 minutes to Weaverville, and 25 minutes to downtown Asheville. 3 acre pond located on the property that is fully stocked and ready for catch-and-release.
The space:
Inside the cabin, there is a full kitchen with dining table, a living room with a memory foam queen sleeper sofa, a Roku Smart TV, electric fireplace, and wood stove that is not currently for use by guests, and not needed, as there are heating units on both floors. There is a full bathroom downstairs with tub/shower combo, added luxuries such as plush spa robes, a rainfall shower head, shower caddy, shampoo/conditioner/soap dispenser, and makeup towelettes. There is a large pantry and laundry room, and the second bedroom, with twin bunk beds, a comfy recliner, and an office space for your laptop. Upstairs is a large loft with a king size bed, living area with queen size futon, comfy recliner and a Roku Smart TV, as well as a desk for a designated office space.
Outside of the cabin, you will find a large front porch with plenty of seating to relax, and to the side of the cabin, there is a decked out yard with a grill, picnic table, firepit, Adirondack chairs, and string lights to set the mood. Feel free to take one of the many hiking trails along the property to explore and see the incredible views (or maybe a hot air balloon or fireworks, if you time it right!), and additional seating to truly immerse yourself and stay awhile.
Take a stroll down to the 3 acre pond that is stocked with bass, sunfish, crappy, catfish and carp for catch and release fishing. See if you can spot some of the various birds that may be fishing there as well. There are boats that can be borrowed to venture into the pond, upon request. This property truly has it all; it is a gem and it is worthy of becoming your next home away from home!
Guest access:
This 3.5 acre property and cabin is private; enjoy it in its entirety during your stay. Feel free to walk down to the pond for catch and release fishing as well!
Other things to note:
Pets are welcome here! Please note the number of pets that will be traveling with you when booking. We accept well-behaved pets who are up to date on their vaccinations and flea treatment. Your pets should be well trained, 1+ years old, house/potty trained, not get up on furniture, and be okay to be left alone, should you plan to leave them (i.e. no incessant barking or destructive behavior). There are other dogs, cats, farm animals, and young children nearby, and thus your pet must not be aggressive towards people or other animals. Please be a responsible pet owner while your pet is outside, keeping your pet leashed and cleaned up after. There are utility towels located in the pantry closet, should you need them to clean/dry your pet. There should be no signs that your pet was on the property upon departure. Please alert us if your pet has caused any damage, so we are able to assess and plan for repairs prior to another guest’s arrival. You will be held responsible for any damage to the property or additional cleaning that is necessary. Thank you very much for your understanding and respectfulness to our cabin!

We love sharing the beauty of our property and surrounding area with guests so all can enjoy!
Why they chose this property
The cabin is surrounded by gorgeous mountain views and rushing waters of Ivy Creek, with a neighboring cow pasture, and the most incredible sunsets. Barnardsville is a little town just off Interstate 26 in a quiet and relaxing valley; a country setting. It is near to Weaverville, where you'll find a cute downtown, and your local conveniences (grocery stores, restaurants, fast food, parks), and Asheville, one of the most popular tourist cities in the US. Whether you want to hike, bike, explore, eat, shop, or chase waterfalls, our mountains are the perfect getaway spot.
