Bender's Log Cabin is located in the sleepy little town of Poncha Springs in the heart of the Rockies. Nestled at the foot of Poncha Pass in south central Colorado, Poncha is only minutes away from the world famous Arkansas River where awesome whitewater rafting thrills thousands each summer. Bender's is also located at the foot of Monarch Pass for easy access to Monarch Mountain Ski Area. Just 5 minutes from Salida for shopping or dining. Poncha's new grocery store a few minutes drive from the cabin. Only 15 minutes from Mt. Shavano trailhead, add a little more time for the rest of the 14teeners trailheads.

Best location!
This cozy, welcoming cabin was the perfect place to stay! It had everything we could possibly need for our long weekend of skiing/snowboarding and was close to everything. Ten minutes to downtown Salida (only five minutes to Walmart), and only fifteen minutes to Monarch. Marilyn was wonderful about answering all our questions and provided clear instructions. The place was warm and so comfortable. We had a great time!

Perfect cabin!
Welcoming from the moment we opened the front door. Full kitchen. Comfortable. Quiet place to relax after a day on Monarch Mountain. Our CX5 SUV fit in the garage and was protected from the snow. Within minutes of Salida art district, a grocery store and don’t miss RED TRUCK pizza!!!! Or Robin’s diner for breakfast!!

The cabin worked great for our family trip to a wedding. There was great communication and we were very comfortable. It was nice having so much space after staying in hotel rooms for a week.

Wonderful place, great location
We've stayed at Bender's Log Cabin before and can't recommend it enough. It's perfect for kids, with a playground within walking distance and really close to downtown Salida. Even if you don't have kids, the location is still perfect. Marilyn is a wonderful host!

Really Nice Place to Stay
We went skiing at Monarch Mountain for a couple of days, and it was a pretty easy drive. We liked the cute little town of Poncha Springs. The house has a very comfortable living room and kitchen to gather in and unwind. Enjoyed the little notes explaining what's what. The enclosed garage is a nice bonus. Very nice place to stay.
