Beautiful view, Cozy cabin

I’ll start with the good. This was a small perfectly cozy cabin with a beautiful Mountain View. Had all the amenities you need in the kitchen. The hot tub was so nice to sit in at night and look at the stars. The owner was very responsive to us during our stay. Check in and out was super simple. Now for the negatives. The listing seems to be intentionally misleading in the pictures. This cabin is not isolated, it is the guest house adjacent to a large house. Lucky for us, there was nobody in the large house, otherwise we would have felt a little uncomfortable trying to enjoy the outdoor space. (If you’re like us and prefer privacy). The fireplace in the bedroom is not usable and the gas log in the living room did not work for us. (The owner was very apologetic and tried her best to help us from afar but we weren’t able to get it working. I’m sure she’ll have it fixed soon). There are bugs. A ton of lady bugs in the windows so the whole place smelled like lady bugs and the ants were terrible. We had a literal crumb of toast on the counter from breakfast and came back to a ton of ants on the counter. I understand these things are hard to control when a place is not occupied consistently, but this is what was there.Overall I would still recommend this to anybody looking for a nice getaway without kids. There are plenty of nearby beautiful mild to moderate intensity walking trails and hikes that include beautiful scenery such as waterfalls and Mountain View’s.
