The space
LOCATION*
Good Life Cabin is conveniently located right as you enter the town of Arnold, a short drive or walk from Big Trees Market. We are 15 minutes to Murphys, 40 minutes to Bear Valley, and 10 minutes to Big Trees State Park. There are so many places to explore! From caverns, to lakes, rivers, and hiking abound. Calaveras County is also home to TONS of live music, including a host of well known names at Ironstone Vineyards just 20 minutes from the cabin, and Bear Valley Music Festival every summer. In the winter, enjoy skiing, snowshoeing, and sledding. You truly have 4 seasons of fun here.

HEAT/AC*
Our cabin is equipped with a heating and cooling system to make your stay comfortable. There is a unit in each bedroom, along with one in the main living area. There are also wall heaters in each bathroom. We do have a wood stove for that extra cozy touch. Please read instructions carefully before using.
OUTDOORS*
There is ample parking in the level driveway for 4 cars, no street parking allowed. EV outlet is on the outside of the garage for easy access to plug in. Make sure you bring your own cord and appropriate plug to connect to it. There is an additional spot off the driveway for a boat or another car. Garage is used for outdoor gear, shovels, and miscellaneous storage. Motion lights are installed for your safety, by the front and patio doors.
There are a minimum of 3 steps to access the deck and home. Year round you can enjoy our amazing HOT TUB, and seasonally (May-October) our roof top deck above the garage. We also have a gas grill and prep station on the deck, located right off the dining room.
INTERIOR*
Main Floor: living room with wood burning stove, dining room, kitchen, one full bath with tub, laundry room with washer/dryer, and one bedroom. Games and puzzles provided. Kitchen is fully stocked for your inner culinary spirit, as well as everything you need for a cup of coffee in the morning.
Upstairs: 2 bedrooms with en suite balconies, and one full bath with shower stall. Each bedroom has a fan, and their own heating and cooling system with remote. *Tip: to keep cool in summer, draw shades during the daytime. At night, open up the patio door and let a fan pull the cool mountain air in.*
BEDROOMS*
all bedrooms come equipped with blackout curtains, fan, and humidifier. Enjoy comfortable mattresses, bedding, and plenty of pillows.

PETS*
While we are dog friendly, please look after your pet. We are in the mountains with coyotes, bears, and other wildlife. We offer a medium sized crate for your use, as well as a gate you can use for the deck outside. Maximum of 2 dogs per stay. Fee is $50/dog. If your pet causes damage to cabin, there will be extra fees.

We will not offer refunds due to circumstances beyond our control as owners. This includes, sickness, weather conditions (unless there is a road closure to the cabin), etc. Please take advantage of Airbnb’s reasonable trip protection.
-In the winter, please check road conditions on Caltrans website before driving up. Guests must be prepared for snow, with a 4WD vehicle and carry chains.
- There are 2 Ring cameras on the property- one at the front door facing driveway, and one by the patio door. Please note these cameras are not actively monitored throughout your stay. These are placed for safety, and allows us to track mountain things like rain, snow, wildlife, etc.
-Respect the Septic! We run on septic, so absolutely no flushing any item that is not waste or toilet paper. Even "flushable items" will cause an issue.
-There will be spotty cell service. Verizon works best, but it’s always a good idea to check your destination before departing to or from the cabin. Our WiFi works incredibly well!
-We are in the mountains, which means you are among bears, deer, mountain lions, coyotes, and other wildlife. Absolutely NO leaving food/drinks of any kind in your vehicle. We will not be held responsible for damages caused by wildlife encounters.
- We provide a bear bin on property. All trash and recycling goes to the bear bin at the front of the driveway, secured shut and flag up for pick up. Trash day is Thursday morning.
-NO smoking, vaping of any kind on the premises. We are in a very high wildfire danger area.
-No additional guests or pets. If guests exceed the maximum of 9 (or more than 2 dogs), a fee of $50 per additional guest or pet, per day will be added on.
