About this property
Mountain Modern Hideaway perfectly located 20 minutes from Asheville
Guests who enter the clean-lined, modern home will be taken aback by the vaulted ceiling and sculptural lighting installation. The Noguchi-style paper lanterns are truly unique and set the stage for the artful energy here. The living space is expansive with an all-in-one kitchen, dining and living. The Baughman-style, vintage dining table seats 6 (8-10 with additional leaves), and the famous Bauhaus cantilever dining chairs are comfy and cool.
The kitchen is stocked with all the modern amenities guests need to prepare, cook, and serve delicious meals with solid style. There are 4 swivel barstools at the granite bar top. Huge sliding glass doors and floor-to-ceiling glass windows stretch across the outdoor-facing wall. All that glass invites in gorgeous natural light that changes interior hues as the day passes. Guests have the option to open the sliding glass doors to the outside and easily remove the magnetic see-through screens, or they can choose to leave them in place. One of the best aspects of the home is that guests can take in the outdoor view while enjoy indoor comforts, like lying on a cozy sheepskin (ethically made in nearby Black Mountain, NC) in front of the gas fireplace, reading, napping, or watching your favorite shows on TV from the L-shaped sofa.
There are two spacious bedrooms, both with king size beds, original artwork, as well as mid-century style prints decorating the walls. Both bedrooms have roomy walk-in closets and plenty of storage space.
Both bedrooms also have their own bath. The spa-inspired main bathroom features a double shower with two separate shower heads and a large soaking tub. The second bathroom has a standard tub, a single shower head and hexagonal tile floors. The custom floors in both bathrooms have a heating option to keep your feet warm in cooler months.
The spacious outdoor patio that has plenty of seating options – a patio set, intimate dining table, and chairs. There’s a brand new 4-person hot tub, wood-burning, smokeless Solo firepit to enjoy, as well as a top-rated, ceramic Green Egg grill, which acts as a smoker, a roaster, and an outdoor oven – perfect for making memorable meals with local vegetables and/or meats.

About the host
Hosted by Andy
I have been in Asheville 20 years and consider it home. I love Asheville and all the great events, food, and music! I enjoy the outdoors and collecting plants for the gardens. Traveling is the best way to broaden oneself. I hope I can visit your town, too.
Welcome!
Carpe Diem.
Namaste.
