A home away from home!!!

Coastal Winds appealed to us because of the privacy, safety, and security it offered, without taking away from beauty/comfort! Within a gated community, five stand alone suites decorated with island themes, fully equipped as a home away from home! ( decor is absolutely beautiful, layout of the suites allowed ample space). Fully equipped kitchens (I prepared daily meals for our group which was served at the common dining area by the pool). Mrs. Brenda Ferguson was patient, warm, and engaged with a level of authenticity that was refreshing for me. She provided all the information needed in great detail and was a warm and caring host! Although we had a rental, we also used the taxi services of Mr. Jacob. He was absolutely amazing! his energy and presence were truly one of the highlights of our trip. Mr. Jacob provided recommendations to resturants and locations that were spot on to our groups needs and style of vacationing. On our last day we booked a tour with him and marveled by his knowledge of and pride in his homeland. Seeing his homeland through his eyes was a marvelous experience. I highly recommend that if you are looking for a home away from home, allowing you to enjoy other parts of the islands but return to a picturesque oasis after exploring, Coastal Winds is definitely the location for you! In addition, if you are looking for transportation/ tour services with Bahamian warmth and flare Mr. Jacob provides it all! Thank you Ms. Brenda and Mr. Jacob!

Perfect Nassau Getaway for Large Families

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful property in Nassau! The home was exactly as described and provided ample space for our family of 11. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the location was convenient to all the major attractions. We loved having the entire place to ourselves, which made for a truly relaxing and enjoyable vacation. Brenda, our host, was absolutely fantastic. She was incredibly responsive, helpful, and always willing to go the extra mile. She checked in on us regularly and made sure we had everything we needed. If you're looking for a great place to stay in Nassau with your family, I highly recommend this property!

Perfect Oasis

The Fergusons and their property were nothing short of amazing. Leading up to our stay Mrs. Brenda kept constant communication to assure everything ran smoothly for our arrival and stay, including helping us get transportation to and from the airport. We had 16 people so we rented 4 of the suites and had the villa to ourselves. We bought groceries and cooked breakfast and dinner every night during our 6 night stay. They have everything you need to cook, clean and grill. Just have to buy the food and seasonings. Coastal Winds is a bit of ways away from the main attractions and beaches, so I would advise that you rent a car. Do not be afraid of them driving on the left side, it’s super easy and will save you a ton of money. We will definitely be returning and the only place we can think about staying aside from a resort is this Coastal Winds property. It has everything you may need.

Gorgeous, relaxing, wonderful property!

Wow! Where to begin…Ms. Brenda was the absolute perfect host. We were a family of 7 on a spring break getaway. From the moment we stepped foot on property, we knew it was gong to be a fabulous week. Everything was so well taken care of all week long. The pool was cleaned 3 different days and the grounds were cleaned daily by Ms. Rose. We used 4 of the rooms for our group and they were perfectly stocked with all the essentials. If there was any issues whatsoever, Ms. Brenda was so quick to react, and they were resolved before we knew it. We felt like we became part of their family. We had the luxury of being there during the Ferguson’s anniversary as well as the day that their grandbaby was born. Would recommend this property to anyone looking for a great stay away from all the hustle and bustle. Thanks for the wonderful memories!!

50th Bday Bash

We had so much fun! Everyone in the property was so nice! Very clean and hanging around the tiki bar at night was great. Being able to be in our own space for sleeping was a definite bonus too. We will be back!

Beautiful and Private

We had a wonderful experience at the lovely Coastal Winds property. We, three couples, rented three of the suites, (the others were left empty so we could have the place to ourselves), which were exactly as pictured: clean, well-appointed, and comfortable. Also as pictured were the gorgeous grounds, from the sparkling pool and native flowers and plants to the tiki hut that was perfect for dining and playing games together. The host, Brenda, was absolutely the sweetest person. She anticipated some of our needs and accommodated them and was available to provide information and products beyond what were already in the suites. Her genuine kindness and attentive care was the best I've ever experienced from a host. As noted in the description, this property is located away from downtown, the cruise port, and the beaches, tucked away in a gated, private community. We rented a vehicle, so we were able to drive to everything we wanted to see and do with no problem. We recommend this beautiful listing for friends or families who want to experience relaxing downtime in stunning surroundings with access to nearby activities for the ultimate Bahamas vacation.

Heaven on Earth!

We booked all 5 Coastal Winds apartments for 2 weeks as we were visiting from the UK to connect with family living in Nassau. As a group of 12, including 5 children, the complex couldn't have been a more perfect place for us to stay. The apartments were beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, cool thanks to great air-con, and had everything we needed to cook a few simple meals throughout the stay. But it was the outside area that absolutely made it for us. The children barely left the pool, and the Tiki bar and gazebo area allowed us to eat and drink communally every day, as well as relax and watch the kids in the pool in the evenings. We had a family bbq using the huge grill, and loved the outside sound system and TV's for music and entertainment. There is a fully equipped laundry room, and Rose was there each week-day to help us with laundry, and keeping the whole space beautifully clean and tidy for us. Brenda was a friendly, kind and attentive host. I cannot fault her at all. She felt like family by the end of the stay as she made us feel so welcome, and checked on us regularly to make sure we were happy. We had hire cars, but when we needed a taxi she immediately booked Mr Jacob for us, who was very friendly and professional. Coastal Winds is situated in a gated community about 20 mins from the busy centre of Nassau. The gate is secured 24/7, and that added to our relaxation when we were on site. I can't imagine staying anywhere better on New Providence.

Family Vacation

My family had the pleasure of booking this lovely property and had the time of our lives!! We had 13 people with us and everyone had plenty of space of their own or we could meet by the pool and tiki hut for time together. We started our trip with a 5 course meal prepared by Chef Johnson (referred by Mrs. Brenda). That was the PERFECT way to start our trip as everyone was blown away by how great the food was. We had a bad storm that first night and unfortunately the pool umbrella's got damaged, Mrs. Brenda got umbrella's within 36 hours of that so that we would have the necessary shade. She and her staff were just amazing!! We couldn't ask for a better Host. We ended up booking massages on a day that the majority of the group went fishing. We used Wellness Spa Bahamas and that was amazing. They came to our location and set up an area so that we could really relax. It was just another great addition to the already perfect vacation destination for our family. Thank you Mrs. Brenda!! Your hospitality made our trip extra special because of you and your staff's exceptional service and friendliness. We hope to book with you again! Lee Ann P

Great property

We loved our stay at the costal winds property. All the suites were as pictured and the property kinda is off the beaten path, which also made it special. Perfect Family vacation.

Our family of 7 stayed at Coastal winds for 8 days. It is an absolutely perfect setting. We used 3 of the suites for the week which worked out great. Each suite is nicely furnished. The pool area is your own amazing oasis where you and your family can relax after a long day. On a few days we just stayed on the property to enjoy the pool for the day, there is an awesome sound system that you can use by the pool area. Brenda the host is the best, she made check in seamless. (The gardens on the property are beautiful as well, our son used them for his engagement proposal and it was a perfect setting)! We rented car for the week which we were happy we did, we like to go to different places on the island so it was much more economical. We did use Mr. Jacobs one day for a ride, he is great. I highly recommend this property!!

Your home away from home. This really applies.

We were in the Bahamas for the Carifta games. We stayed at this property with a group of 7 people, taking up four of the five suites. For anyone reading this, I can say that it was an excellent choice for us. The property is located in a gated community. Not that it is needed, but it adds to the feeling of safety. That is true for anywhere one goes and this one was no different. The community is relatively new, but what struck me was that while there are other houses nearby, the feeling of calmness and serenity was strongly present. The property itself is just as others have reviewed it. For those not wanting to read those reviews, the suites look and feel very new. They are very clean, spaceous and had everything we needed. A joy to be in. We all had the privacy of our own rooms, and whenever we wanted to, we could (and would) go to the general pool area to chill. By the way, the pictures in the property are spot on! The landscaping was just unbelievable. The pool area provides more than enough space to very comfortably enjoy of the days in the sun. As for Mrs. Ferguson, she's everything you could expect from a great landlord: sweet, attentive and just plain a joy to be around. She even brought us some homemade pastries. Before getting to the Bahamas, she made sure everything was in order for us. When we got there, she made sure we had everything we needed in terms of food and drinks by arranging Mr. Jacob, a recommended driver, to drive us to a supermarket. Some other reviews mention the commute times to other parts of the island. We had no problems whatsoever with this. Remember that this is a small island, and nothing is ever far. For the comfort we had, I would call this the perfect place to be.

Wonderful stay

First I want to say this property was exactly how it's displayed in the pictures. Very clean, quiet, vibrant, and safe. The host Mrs. Ferguson was a delight. She made sure everything we needed or asked she was able to help with. There was someone onsite every morning to keep the grounds tidy and pool clean. The accomodations in one word was great. My stay was comfortable and safe and that's why I look for in a home away from home and this property did just that. Thank you Mrs. Ferguson for the great stay.

A wonderful stay! 5+++++ stars!

My family and I visited the Bahamas to attend a funeral. We booked 4 suites. The property was gorgeous. The suites were beautifully decorated and extremely clean! Mrs. Ferguson was an EXCEPTIONAL host. She went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The taxi service she recommended was also great. I highly recommend this property!!

Wonderful stay in New Providence

The outdoor recreational area really shines for the property. Our two families stayed in two of the suites that all back on to a large pool with an outdoor seating area and bar area. Property was clean, and aspects such as laundry facilities so you don't have to pack clothes for every day of the trip were appreciated. The location is in the south central area of the island and requires driving to visit Nassau destinations. We opted to use Mr. Jacob, a driver recommended by the property manager. The daily cost was less than a car rental and quite convenient as our group of eight could be accommodated in a single trip by his three seating row vehicle. The property would be enjoyed by all, but especially families with children as games and play in the large size pool kept the kids occupied for hours. A final note, the property owner is quite responsive and checked in on our group during our stay to make sure all was well.

Even Better than it Looks!

After several VRBO rentals over the years Coastal Winds definitely stands out as the best we've ever found. The property is beautiful, well-maintained and comfortable. Brenda is the most attentive, warm and friendly host we've ever had the pleasure to encounter. On a 5 star scale Coastal Winds and Brenda deserve 10 stars!

Perfect for Multi Group Families!

I can’t tell you how special this place was. The host and her family were gems! They anticipated our needs arriving on Christmas Day! Mrs. Ferguson put us in touch with Mr. Jacob who picked us up from the airport and brought us to other island sites. The property was impeccable. Shhh! The groundskeeper even climbed to get us coconuts filled with coconut water! The pool, the bar, the laundry, and outdoor gathering places were just what we needed in the mornings and return from excursions. Make arrangements with Mr. Jacob for all your transportation needs as the property is about 20 minutes away from the downtown and most tourist spots. Wonderful hosts and wonderful, safe property. We plan to stay there again for our next family gathering in Bahamas!!

Due to our location in a private, gated community, our property allows our guests to have a sense of "exclusivity", we promote our brand as a "quiet oasis". Another plus about our property is that it is close to the airport. Overall, although we've been in business since 2010, we love the fact that our property does not have much "wear and tear". We pride ourselves in ensuring that the suites and entire property is well maintained and upgraded as necessary.

When you book with us, we book no other party during your time of rental. We want to ensure that you experience all that our property has to offer without interruptions or disturbances. Many of our past guests have expressed their love for the unique Bahamian elements which our property offers. From the indoor details, to the fresh vegetable garden and native fruit trees in the backyard, you'll definitely experience a piece of The Bahamas on our property.
Our pool is always a seller! It's great for relaxation or family fun, the kids and adults alike spend most of their time in the pool during their visit.
