About this property
Clementine Creekhouse - Treetop Views in Callicoon - Sleeps 14!
Summary:
The Clementine Creekhouse is a spacious modern retreat in the heart of the scenic Delaware River Valley, located 2 hours from NYC, and just outside Callicoon, NY.
Set on four acres along a private creek, the house has gorgeous treehouse-esque views, with 6 bedrooms and 3.5 baths, and comfortably sleeps 14 people. The house features a high-end kitchen, wood-burning stove, and luxurious amenities.
The Space:
Clementine Creekhouse is a modern retreat with plenty of space to unwind and escape with family and friends, indoors and out. Just outside the quaint town of Callicoon, the house is located on on four private acres at the edge of Hankins Creek. Relax on the screened-in porch, listening to the gentle sounds of the water, roast marshmallows around the cast iron fire pit, walk down to the creek to explore the historic stone arch bridge, try your hand at fishing, or splash around to cool down in the summer.
The light-filled home has an abundance of windows, making you feel like you are living amongst the trees. The modern open kitchen has high-end appliances, an oversized island for cooking and hanging out, a large dining table with bench seating for entertaining, and is stocked with everything a modern chef could need.
The living space features soaring double height ceilings with sliding doors that open to the screened-in patio so you can enjoy the fresh air without the bugs. Sit around the wood-burning fireplace and play backgammon, cuddle up for movie night, or enjoy reading a book from our curated vintage library.
There are six bedrooms in the house. On the main level there is one room with a queen bed and another with two twin beds, which share a bathroom with double vanity in between. Upstairs you'll fine two queen beds with another full bathroom.
In the newly renovated lower level, there is another queen bed with a gorgeous picture window, along with a bunk room featuring four twin beds, and a brand new bathroom with tub/shower. This level features a huge open living space with two sets of sliding doors to outside where you can walk up to the screened-in porch. Here you'll also find a gym, with a full set of dumbbells, weight lifting bench, yoga mats and blocks, resistance bands, jump rope, and exercise ball. Coming August 2021, we'll be adding a large sectional and TV along with completing the space as a recreation room.
The house is great for multiple families, with plenty of space to put a portable crib (which we provide), plus a highchair, changing table, baby bath, baby monitor, a few toys, and lots of space to run around indoors and out.
We also have fast cable internet and Wifi for all your work from home, movie watching, or kid-distracting needs.
On the main level, all rooms in the house feature central air conditioning and thermostat controlled baseboard heaters, plus the wood-burning stove in the living room, to keep you warm during the colder months. In the lower level, there is radiant heating throughout along with thermostat controlled baseboard heaters, and while there is no air conditioning, it tends to stay pretty cool in the summer.
The house is a featured StayFloyd property and is outfitted with Floyd sofas, Tuft & Needle mattresses, luxurious linen bedding and plush towels by Italic, cozy duvets and pillows by Buffy, dinnerware by Rigby, Sonos speakers, along with bath amenities and cleaning supplies by Public Goods.
