The house was perfect for our stay. We were a party of 3 families and the house was so spacious. We never felt on top of each other. The management company was very helpful. And always replied very very quickly.
The home was great location to Palm Beach and Eagle beach. Short drive to restaurants. Would definitely stay here again!
First of all, if you're looking at renting a property in the Caribbean you should know what you're getting into. It is not a resort, there is no one to take care of your every need, but it is a completely different (and better) way to experience life on an island.
Having said that, this property met/exceeded my group's expectations - 2 families, total of 9 people.
The good:
Place was pretty clean, beds were comfy, great indoor/outdoor lighting, safe feeling neighborhood, location perf
Plenty of room for people to spread out, the pool was bigger than expected and the kids loved it.
The large "suite" on the first floor was perfect for 3 of the girls...massive beds, cool concept, separate bathroom.
Upstairs 2 bedrooms, both with en-suites and while one was definitely the primary, the other was great.
Each room has its own TV and mini-split AC. All worked perfectly.
Not so good:
Nearby house had dogs that started barking nightly around 3am...for hours...
Ran out of propane in the outdoor grill.
There were signs in the bathrooms to not flush toilet paper...ummm?
Oven was on the fritz, only the top 'burner' worked but it didn't really get hot enough to do more than warm unfrozen food in 30 minutes...it was edible but wan't getting food crispy
Overall
Very happy we stayed here, you won't be disappointed in this place and I hope it starts getting more reviews, it deserves them. Hosts VERY responsive and helpful.
We were a party of 9, myself, husband, daughters and two grandchildren. The booking and check-in process was fine, no issues. As far as cleanliness, the main issue for me was that it was clear that the cabinet doors throughout the house hadn’t been wiped down or cleaned as there were so many fingerprints especially in the the kitchen, which kind of grossed me out. It was nothing to complain about, I just did a wipe down myself, but it should have been done prior to our arrival. There is a binder with information about the house that was not updated or not consistent with it being for this property. All was good up through the check-out. Our communication with the Property Management Company was good throughout the process and they answered questions promptly when we had them. However, things took a turn when we got home and received a rude message stating that we damaged towels because they were dirty. A couple of towels had makeup on them but nothing that wouldn’t have come out in a wash, nor worthy of trying to charge us $150 for. Also, they stated that I should have told them prior to us leaving that the towels had makeup on them. Very weird. I’m hoping that washing towels are a part of their regular practice. The part that made me angry about it is that we were called disrespectful which was rude and offensive as there was nothing done maliciously or with intent. Minus the final interaction with the Property Manager, it was a wonderful stay in a lovely home.
