Great once inside

I stayed in this property with another female friend of mine, and honestly when we first pulled up to the property, we were slightly terrified. Take into mind, it was pitch dark, with very little street lighting. Within 5 minutes of property, we noticed a ton of trash everywhere, graffiti, boarded up windows, etc... and it just felt unsafe. We thought about getting a hotel instead, I'm glad we didn't. I was thankful there was a garage we could pull into and enter from back of house, instead of the front. That was actually the only reason we stayed. We did feel very secure once inside, and Joe, the host was very kind and responsive. The beds were wonderful, the house was decorated very tastefully. The water pressure was great. I loved the stain glass and character inside. I think a man traveling alone or couple would feel perfectly fine, but I'd advise against this location if you are a female traveling alone, or mom with young children. Happy travels.

Disrespectful family

Overall Joe is a great communicator, I had family come up and just messed my name up completely. You try to do stuff for your family and then they turn around an do exactly what you say not to do. Now I see why no one rents to locals cause of BS like this. Once again Sorry for the disrespect to you your neighbors and home.

Interesting

Once we got into the rental space, it was very clean. However, the instructions for using the keypad were not accurate. More words were needed to explain how to use this type of door combination. The back entry door never worked so we had to obtain entry through the front. Not sure why this couldn't be used the entire time.Also, an explanation for the TV remotes and the kitchen sink- no garbage disposal.Cutest red refrigerator! They forgot to clean the stove so we didn't use it. I felt I didn't travel to clean someone else's stove. Bathroom hand towels would be great to dry hands after washing.Overall good rating

Perfect for our needs

We came up from Florida to spend a few days with the kids and have an early Thanksgiving dinner. Joe had everything I needed there for cooking utensils and I bought all the food and spices. Beautiful, comfortable home and perfect for our needs. Joe was easily reached for needs. Will definitely stay again.

Great inside.

The outside was a little rough and I wouldn’t probably stay there again with my kids. It was close to thing's, clean and comfortable inside. I just didn’t feel safe with my babies.

This is a great value! The apartment is very stylish, clean and comfortable. My family was very comfortable in the apartment during our stay, but the neighborhood was not for us. The host is incredibly responsive. Having the garage was great as most people park on the street and it would have been difficult to find a spot without it.

CLEAN!!!!

I've stayed in quite a few rentals and I have to say that this is one of the cleanest ones I've ever stayed in. I clean for a living and I can tell you that it's CLEAN. Very nice amenities...top of the line...no money was spared here.... I'm a small-rural town girl...so, I do have to say that I was kind of out of my element in the neighborhood. BUT....the neighbors are nice and I know that if I had needed anything they would have helped me. I spent a lot of time on the front porch and felt completely safe. Joe is an excellent host. He responds very quickly to any questions that you may have. He's the most responsive host that I've ever dealt with. Thank you Joe...if we're ever back in St Louis again we will be reaching out to you!!!

Clean, well-stocked house in an okay neighborhood.

This house was very thoughtfully decorated and full of amenities, right down to phone chargers in every room. Kitchen has everything you need, even the brita water filter was a nice addition. The beds were comfortable and the a/c kept us plenty cool during our hot August weekend. I appreciated the garage to park my car, as I was not very comfortable with this neighborhood, lots of commotion at night and many sirens. We experienced no problems at all, just didn't feel safe to take a walk around. I did appreciate that the front and back doors auto-locked. Joe was a very responsive host and the interior house was kept up very nicely.

Home Away From Home

This was an adorable place close to everything. Our host was a phone call away and checked on us frequently. I loved being able to park in a garage. The living space was so quaint. Traveling with just my daughter, I felt very safe. she loved the red fridge and the bike tv stand. I would recommend a stay for anyone.

Very clean and stylish

The property was ADORABLE and surpassed my expectations. It had extra touches (cable outlets, bidet, filtered cold water in the refrigerator) that made our stay comfortable. Although we were not affected, there are stairs to enter the property which may affect people with mobility issues. The Host was very responsive and helpful.

Great little place!

This was a quaint little house with all the amenities you could need. I think this was the first time I stayed somewhere with PLENTY of towels and wash cloths! A dear friend and I had a weekend getaway, and enjoyed the property. The fridge was a cute little retro fridge with plenty of space for our food. Kitchen had everything we needed. The owner was very responsive to any questions or issues. The inside of the home was updated, clean, beautiful, and relaxing. The only concern was the neighborhood. The house is quite old from appearances, and it looks old and a bit rundown from the outside (not much can be done about that). We got the impression it wasn't the best neighborhood, especially seeing the outdoor A/C unit having to be locked down in a cage. But there is a garage so your vehicle is safe. But it's hard to tell from a VRBO ad what a neighborhood is like. And to be fair, we did not have any issues with our stay in terms of safety. It was just a feeling we had driving through the neighborhood. Overall a positive experience! The owner was very attentive to our needs and questions, and we would gladly rent a property from him again!
