Enjoy watching the sunrise over the ocean without paying oceanfront prices! This cottage is located in a quiet neighborhood and boasts rare ocean views from this part of the island - while still only a short drive to the beach. It’s perfect for those looking for a relaxing getaway in a stylish space. It's ideal for people aiming to enjoy a peaceful aesthetic of the home while making wonderful memories! Although this property is new to Vrbo, we have been on another booking platform for 2 years with a 4.97 star rating!
The cottage is a 4 minute drive to the nearest public beach access with free parking. The entrance to Seascape Golf Links is right down the road. We provide a Welcome binder with details on beach accesses, driving instructions, house rules & local recommendations.. You're just around the corner from grocery stores, shopping, and a short drive to some of our best restaurants!
The neighborhood is a quiet family community. Behind our house is a patch of woods that ensures privacy and peaceful views from the bedrooms. This area is golf cart and pedestrian friendly and sunset strolls are lovely!

About the host
Hosted by Chris Hannant and Janie Munsey
Chris and Janie are self employed, long time locals of the Outer Banks! Their baby Talon was born in November 2022, and together they spend summers living aboard their 40ft catamaran in Manteo. In winter they cruise the Caribbean, while also finding time for their love global travel! As a young local family, they've been hosting rental properties for many years and hope to share the beauty of the OBX with their guests.
Why they chose this property
Kitty Hawk is one of the quieter OBX towns while still maintaining easy access to beaches and local attractions. We love our neighborhood for its peace and quiet, its proximity to the beach as well as the golf course.
What makes this property unique
It's located on a small hill which is hard to come by on on our sandbar! This allows for quiet, small ocean views and great sunrise/sunset views without the beachfront prices.
