The place was clean and the bathroom and kitchen appliances appeared new. We were disappointed in the yard. The place is on a large piece of property, that was cluttered with old boat engines, equipment, piles of cut down trees and other stuff. It made it unpleasant to sit on the deck.
Journeys end loft was comfy, clean, cozy and quiet. Short drive to anything you might need. Host was very helpful and easy to communicate with. Much better than lugging your things through a hotel lobby.
This is a lovely property in a great location. We were ideally situated to hike, paddle, and sail in the area. The hosts had set the air conditioning to welcome us into a cooled, clean, and nicely appointed apartment. A “Welcome Ann” sign greeted us on entry. Nice touch. But even nicer touches were the detachable shower heads in both the shower and the claw-foot tub, an electric tea kettle, a smart TV, absorbent towels, and night lights, to mention a few.
The deck is a very pleasant place to relax. In fact, the whole place is so pleasant, I complained to our host that it made it more difficult for us to get going on our daily jaunts.
Would definitely stay here again!
The loft is located next to the owners full house, above a work garage. Still, we had decent peace and quiet, and the balcony was really nice. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook. The kitchen table chairs were uncomfortable, but the couch was very nice, and the tv had a few streaming services.
Arrived for a wedding in the area. We hiked at catepillllar hill-picked a few small blueberries and enjoyed lunch at Strong brewery before heading up to Acadia Great location with wonderful artsy hosts. Love the artwork on the property !
Very convienent location to Acadia National Park and Timber Tina's lumberman show. Picked wild blueberries in field next door.Nice experience comfortable beds
This loft had everything we needed for a fantastic stay. The location was great and the place was spectacularly clean. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others!
We had a great stay with 2 teenagers. The space was clean and had a great kitchen. There was so much storage for all of our things in the bedrooms and bathroom. The host was super responsive to any needs and gave great recommendations. We would definitely stay here again!
We enjoyed our stay at Journeys End. The owners were most accommodating and had a board of great suggestions for things to do. The property was perfectly located for the wedding and Friday night events we were attending.

Sedgwick—Lovely part of Maine off the beaten path…
This location proved to be a perfect hub for exploring this incredible part of Maine—not only the Blue Hill Peninsula but also Mt Desert Island (less than an hour’s drive away). The rental itself was meticulously kept and cozily decorated—highly recommended for those exploring this rich area of the Maine coast!
