Converted luxury Barn surrounded by National Forest outside Prescott Az.

Maison d'Amis is located on a 3 acre ranch in Skull Valley Az. about 15 minutes outside of Prescott Az. Surrounded by the Prescott National Forest, with hiking trails, riding trails ( motorcycle, side by sides, and equestrian. ). The barn has a downstairs open floor plan, with bedroom bathroom, fully equipped kitchen and living space. There is a wood burning fireplace, smart TV, WiFi, heat air conditioning, and laundry. The large sleeping loft is up the spiral staircase. There is a private covered patio, outdoor dining, and a small plunge pool. Also see “safari cabin” if your group is more than 4 guests. We do have a $15.00 pet fee, per pet, per stay. and a small additional nightly charge for additional guests over 2, so please when booking list number of guests and pets...

NOT DOG FRIENDLY

The property and Decor are lovely. However, the listing does not disclose that one of the owners lives on site with her two dogs and the other owner insists on showing up to greet you which adds a third dog. None of which is mentioned. As they're showing me around the property , within 10 minutes of being there, one of the dogs that lives on site (a pit mix) bit my dog (Aussiedoodle). She just let them loose without warning! It is a major liability for them to assume that all dogs will get along and not even ask. I told them that my friend's dogs that were also coming did not get along with other dogs so we were coordinating times to let them go out potty. And then the day we leave the guy shows up with his dog and has the audacity to just let it out when all of our dogs are out. They're very lucky nothing worse came out of it! Not sure how people can be so oblivious.

Incredible, quiet stay

My husband and I stayed here with our 2 dogs and had the most wonderful time. The space was designed very well, and all the amenities made it a very comfortable stay! Jason and Sandy have thought of everything. They were both so kind to us and our dogs. I could not recommend this property more!!

Perfect remote get away.

I was staying here while I worked for a wedding. So, I didnt get to spend as much time as I would have liked at the barn it was a really neat space. My girlfriend and dog loved it. Lots of land to roam around and sandys dogs welcomed our dog lady. At night the stars come alive and youll see tons of wild life if you take a late night/early morning drive. They also have tvs and internet for the people who dont want to completely discconect. Make sure you follow the directions jason/sandy provide. There isnt much service out there unless you are on/near the property. My gf and i drove seperatly and she got a little lost. Sandy and jason went out of there way to do eveything they could to help her eventually find the place. would definitely stay here again.

Jewel in a national park

What a wonderful stay we had at this wonderful apartment in the middle of a national park! Close to Prescott but amazingly private… highly recommend!

Prescott getaway

Everything from the check in, location, cleanliness and convenience was great. Jason and Sandy were wonderful hosts. They made certain we had everything we needed and Sandy even made fresh blueberry muffins and delivered them one morning. The property has a few dogs, all great with people and other dogs. I don’t think our pup wanted to go home! My husband and I would love to visit again for a longer stay and just relax and take in the beauty of the area. Thanks again Jason and Sandy for providing a lovely getaway.

Peaceful Hideaway

This place was a combination of quiet serenity along with a kind of urban loft vibe on the interior of the space, with stacks of amazing art and photography books, and decorated with some really interesting artwork, photos, and memorabilia. On the patio we watched satellites and stars overhead, and listened to the cows, and the trains in the distance passing by. Jason, who is a fascinating guy, met us and got us set up and was the perfect host. The kitchen is modern and well outfitted, comfy bed, great water pressure, all of those little things that make for a super enjoyable space. Roads are well maintained dirt roads. Great get away place. We hope to return soon.

Escape and Relax

If you're looking for quiet, private, and beautiful this is it. Comfortable enough to lounge around all day but enough to do outdoors to explore instead. Groceries, restaurants, etc are close enough for a quick run but far enough that you don't lose that cabin feel. The touches Jason put on the property, both small and large, really show the amount of thought that went into ensuring our stay was perfect. We will absolutely be back!! Extra bonus was the ability to bring our dog and basically let her roam as she pleased without a second thought.

Lovely getaway in Skull Valley

We had a great time. Sandy and Jason couldn't have been nicer. Beautiful location, the barn is beautifully designed and decorated, filled with art, books, and so many thoughtful touches. We spent three days exploring the surrounding area on our mountain bikes (miles of dirt roads and trails). We've stayed at a lot of VRBO rentals, and we enjoyed all of them, but this was on a different level. Thank you Sandy and Jason for creating this wonderful space, and your hospitality. Can't wait to get back.

Friendly Owners, Peaceful Location

Both owners were very helpful and friendly. Each took time to personally check in with us throughout our stay, and they gave us fantastic local hiking and dining suggestions. The barn is pristine and peaceful; the location is perfect for anyone who needs a refreshing break from urban distractions. That said, the Wifi works great if you need to work, too. Our only suggestion for improvement would be to install fans in both bedrooms.

Beautiful views

The managing members of the property were absolutely amazing. Jason could not have been a bigger help. The views and scenery was absolutely amazing. Beautiful location, extremely welcoming home located in the middle of the national forest.
