Escape to the lake and experience a getaway like no other at this three-story lakefront home! This retreat enjoys an unbeatable location in a private setting on 2.59 acres and roughly 250 feet of prime water frontage on the private side of Lake Anna. This lake is a beautiful reservoir and a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts, as it offers a wide range of activities that cater to different interests. Some things you can do at Lake Anna include swimming, fishing (largemouth bass, striped bass, crappie, and catfish), boating, hiking (Lake Anna State Park has over 15 miles of trails, ranging from easy to moderate), camping, picnicking, wildlife watching, golfing, and so much more.

A private covered boat dock (the lift is not available) and swim platform means you are welcome to bring your boat and explore Lake Anna from another point of view! There are two kayaks, one paddleboard, and one canoe available. Swimmers should definitely take advantage of the diving board to step into the water with no difficulties (8-9 feet at the diving board; steps to walk into the water which starts around 2-3 feet and gently gets deeper as you move closer to the diving board). The outdoor shower is perfect for cleaning off after a swim in the lake. The home also enjoys a sundeck with a gas grill and an outdoor dining area to host summertime cookouts with your loved ones - an outdoor smoker for hot and cold smoking food is also available. Birdwatchers better bring their binoculars - this lakefront home overlooks Busbees Island, an eagle nesting ground on nearby property, which is perfect for birdwatching.

As you enter this gorgeous and elegant home, you will notice stained glass elements throughout along with vaulted ceilings and wooden accents throughout. Spread out comfortably in the inviting living room, featuring comfy sofas, a large smart TV with streaming services, a wood-burning fireplace, and a huge bookshelf lined with interesting books and family-friendly board games. This is definitely one of the favorite spots to hang out and gather with your loved ones! From here, you can easily access the lakefront deck with a grill and dining area. Back inside, this lakefront gem boasts a uniquely decorated, fully-equipped oak kitchen with a Subzero fridge, a stone wall where the stove, microwave, and oven are located, skylights, and all the essentials to prepare culinary masterpieces for the group. The kitchen island provides extra seating for the adjoining dining table. Delight yourself with a well-appointed sunroom off the dining area with an inviting seating area, skylights, and unparalleled lake views. This level also features a laundry area with a washer/dryer - highly convenient for extended stays! The ground-floor level of this hidden treasure enjoys a rec area with a pool table, a dry bar, a nice round table that is perfect for board game action, and a smart TV.

When it comes to sleeping arrangements, there are two bedrooms on each floor. The ground floor features two well-appointed bedrooms. The main level enjoys two additional bedrooms - one with a desk and direct access to a deck that leads to a cute pavilion and another one with an en suite bathroom. The upper level offers two bedrooms sharing a gorgeous en suite bathroom with double sinks, a shower, and a relaxing jetted tub. Additional perks include a 120-volt outlet that can charge an electric vehicle as long as guests provide a travel charger with them.

Great family Vacation

Home was great for our 3 generation get together. Grandkids have already told us they want to come back next year. House interior was very clean. Loved swimming and kayaking in the lake. Even room for our small sailboat.

Great place

Very comfortable place with lots of space to visit with family or friends. Comfortable beds and rooms. Great water views. Easy entry into the water. Diving board was fun. Got to see eagles and lots of other birds. We had a great time and a great/easy communication with the management company.

Beautiful spaces inside and out

Great place for a multi generational family to gather and enjoy relaxing and eating. Huge supply of puzzles and games. Also lots of wood all set up so to enjoy a fire pit right at the edge of the water! Kitchen well stocked and amazing views from multiple rooms.

Great house for large families.

We are from out of state and did not understand private side means no access to main lake and its amenities. Wish that location was made clear in the description. The house itself was very accommodating for our large family. The smoker was top of the line and a great perk not many houses have. The kitchen is very big, well stocked and became the main gathering place daily. The dock area had great views and plenty of seating. The stairs leading into the lake made it so easy for our young grandchildren to get in and out of the water easily. The water was very warm, which the kids enjoyed.

Coming back next year!!

My family and I have been renting houses at Lake Anna since 2017 and everyone agreed this is their favorite house and they want to come back next year. The interior finishes on the house are lovely and you can tell by the extra items in the kitchen that the owner's did a fair share of entertaining. Both my son and daughter do a lot of grilling and smoking so they both enjoyed the custom built smoker. They also fish (my son does deep sea fishing) so they took rods down to the lake early morning and evening. Our favorite part of the house was the enclosed porch which is both heated (it was cold when we arrived) and air conditioned. Our puppy enjoyed watching the children from the windows. It was a great vacation!!

Ant infestation, and broken appliances.

Book elsewhere. The house is gorgeous and the doc is great. However the house was infested with ants and my group spent the whole time wiping down the kitchen to combat the ant infestation. On top of that the freezer was broken and leaking and the dryer was also broken. The ant infestation and freezer breaking caused us to loose quite a bit of our food. Vacasa was completely unhelpful, and for days said they’d send someone over with no one showing up to help. Unless they fix the myriad of issues in the house, look elsewhere for a spot on lake anna

The Perfect Getaway!

Never did we think that a beautiful lake and getaway could only be 90 minutes away from our house in northern VA. We fell in love with Lake Anna, primarily due to Windswept Cove! This lovely, cozy, and gorgeous home was the perfect fit for a married couple (celebrating their 10 year anniversary), two sets of in-laws, three families with multiple kids, and a dog (while company was staggered, there was a good amount of overlapping!). The main floor is spacious and welcoming with a kitchen perfect for prepping dinner while everyone is snacking and running around. While there are 3 porches (1 per floor), the one on the main floor was our favorite, with amazing views of the lake and a window AC - it acted as play room during the day for kids (when not at the lake), and a place for the adults to be a little louder at night - when we weren't at the fire pit down at the lake! Thanks to the owners for having a full stack of wood right next to the firepit for us to easily access. We also saw the wood nicely stacked next to their smoker as well. The kitchen is fully stocked with every utensil, pot, tray, tool you could ask for. We used the coffee maker and toaster oven every morning (several times per morning) and fully utilized the oven, stove top, two fridges and propane grill every day! The bedrooms are perfectly laid out and are spacious, with room to even set up the pack'n'play, which the house provides. There are 2 bedrooms per floor, with a bathroom on each floor (2 on the main floor). The beds and provided sheets were comfy as well. I was particularly impressed that the water pressure and temperature held up in all bathrooms, even with laundry, dishes and multiple showers running. We spent the days in the lake, hanging out on the large "shelf" of water, where 4 and 5 year olds can touch the ground for many feet before the water becomes deeper. We jumped off the diving board off the dock in the deeper end - and had a blast on the paddle board, kayak and 2 canoes. There were plenty of life vests and noodles as well. The grassy area right at the lake was the perfect place to set up our cornhole game. Really can not say enough about this amazing home - just come ready to relax, swim on the "warm" side of the lake and feel a little spoiled!
