About the host
Hosted by Richard Cahela
I love traveling. I've had the opportunity to live and work in many countries and vacation in even more. Though Tampa Bay has been my home for the past 20 years, I still appreciate different cultures and people and look forward to hosting guests and making their stay in Tampa the best, most fun experience it can possibly be. I hope to see you soon. Rick C.
Why they chose this property
One of my hobbies is an appreciation of mid-century modern architecture and style. I enjoy renovating homes by modernizing their infrastructure and restoring them to the dignity of their past glory days with new, time appropriate interior design. This property, with its origins intertwined with the history of the West Tampa Riverfront area, was such a house.
What makes this property unique
This astonishing upscale home has everything needed for a comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable stay while exploring Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico beaches. With its central location, most activities in Tampa Bay are a 5-30 minute drive away. Enjoy the urban "vibes" on the front porch, or the more secluded and private backyard. The numerous double-insulated, hurricane impact windows and doors between the living room and tropical courtyard (and bedrooms) visually invite the outdoors inside, while keeping the sounds of the city at bay. Socialize with family & friends in the large screened, covered porch, in a two-person quilted hammock in the tropical courtyard, or under the shade of a 180 year grandfather oak tree. Enjoy your privacy at the house, or explore the excitement offered by the nearby Tampa Riverwalk; a short 15-20 minute walk from the house across Tampa's newest riverfront park.
