Quiet Getaway

Great, quiet, friendly neighborhood. Excellent communication from Host. The large fire pit was fantastic!

Good for a fishing getaway

I appreciated that the cabin was clean and comfortable for our family fishing trip. The listing should have a picture of the front of the cabin to help identify where you're going to because there are no house numbers and the addresses in that neighborhood don't go in logical order. Our party had people coming from 3 states and arriving at different times, the first to arrive drove around the neighborhood trying to look for house #'s and finally resorted to looking up the house pictures on realtor.com to verify it was the correct place. It's set off the road and surrounded by mature trees, which is great for privacy. VRBO said I should expect checkin information 3 days in advance and when I didn't hear from the host, I reached out through the app & email and didn't receive any contact until the day before checkin when I already had travelers in motion. We were told where to find the keys, but they weren't where they were specified. House was just left open. We looked around for a book of the house rules and didn't find anything. Just texted with the host to find out checkout procedure. Was asked to leave 3 hours early so they could turn it over for the next booking. After being up early for fishing the last several days, my family had been looking forward to sleeping in a bit and not rushing out. I would stay there again, but would wish for better communication. Note: There is no WiFi

Fourth of July lake cabin

The cabin had all the amenities, comfortable beds, beach towels, coffee, etc. Even a golf cart to check out the neighborhood or go to the lake! It only has beds for 7 people but lots a room for pack and plays. We had an enjoyable time!

Listing clarity

This place was not truly a 4 bedroom nor does it sleep 10. It was a 3 bedroom (one very tiny) and an outside she-shed style room electricity and fans with 2 single beds. The bunk beds in the photos are no longer there, so sleeping maximum is 7. It also did not have WiFi, which was not listed, but should be noted or listed"off the grid" like we were advised upon arrival. Our daughter was planning to work remotely and luckily our cell phone hot spot accommodated our needs. We worked around these issues and made it work for the week. Definitely a better option if fishing all week instead of trying to visit relatives.

Scenic view

Although the property is not on Audubon Lake, it is within walking distance, and there are a couple of nearby places to put a boat in. There is a scenic view out the back, overlooking the rolling hills and a pond. There’s also a nice front porch with lots of seating and a table for Al fresco dining and/or games, a selection of which are in the house. Although the water pressure in the master bath shower was terrible and there were too many scented candles (some of which we just moved out to the porch), overall we enjoyed our stay. Lots of room for the six of us, including a cute bunkhouse out back!
