In addition to bookings in the high summer season, this is a perfect property for hunters, fishermen and wine lovers in the late spring and early fall seasons, as well! Known as one of the best fishing spots in the region, Waneta Lake is conveniently located between Keuka and Seneca Lakes.

Enjoy this lovely lake front home and take in the beauty of the region including dozens of area wineries, Watkins Glen State Park and Gorge, Watkins Glen racetrack, Corning Museum of Glass and The Windmill Farmers and Craft Market.

Weekend Getaway

Our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home on Lake Waneta. The hosts thought of everything and we wanted or needed for nothing. It was the perfect location between the wineries on Keuka and Seneca that we wanted to visit. Will recommend to others and definitely plan another stay in the future.

Relaxing, Fun, and Stunning

The property itself is beautiful and you feel like you're on the water even when inside. The outside areas are the nicest we've ever seen with a huge stone veranda, dining area, firepit area, and fun additional seating. The living, kitchen, bedroom and bathrooms are comfortable and stylish and absolutely spotless. Great dock, which is a bonus for people wanting to enjoy fishing or boating and paddling. The property is so nice throughout, but in a way that is relaxing--you feel very at home. The owners were accessible and friendly--which makes the stay even better.

Beautifully detailed cottage

Cottage is nice. The area bordering the lake is exceptional! The lake is very weedy. All in all, a lovely property that is close to many attractions.

Amazing time on the lake!!

This property was perfect for our family summer vacation! Very spacious, clean, updated and great proximity to some of the towns, wineries and breweries! The lake was quiet and clean, great for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing etc. Walkens Glen is not far which offers some good hiking. The property was also flat which is tough to find along the lakes, and is helpful for older people in the party. Plenty of parking. I could not have asked for anything better! You will not be disappointed with your stay here!!

Fun filled adventure

The whole family enjoyed themselves. Location was perfect. We swam and checked out the surrounding areas. Many many many things to see and do for all ages! This was the perfect family vacation!

Beautiful cottage

We truly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is beautiful and it has plenty of space with 4 bedrooms and 2 living room areas! The kitchen is gorgeous with granite counters and stainless appliances. Everything you could ever need to cook a meal was supplied. We all enjoyed the large indoor dining table and counter stools for nightly games and breakfast. Then let's talk about the outside areas. Firepit with 6 adirindack chairs, outside dining table and chairs seating 8, bistro table, 4 chaise lounges.... it is just lovely! And the addition of use of the dock for our pontoon boat made it the perfect rental for us. We can't wait to come back again next year!

Wonderful property!

I am always wary of the pictures that are posted on the website. I've had some disappointing experiences. But i have to say that the pictures for this property do not do it justice. This place is beautiful. Everything seems brand new. The beds and linens were so comfortable, the furniture was updated and the decor was fun and fashionable. The outside areas were incredible, we really enjoyed the large outdoor dining table for morning coffee and meals and the fire pit area was fun for smores with the grandchildren. Nothing was overlooked. We did have a minor issue at arrival, but it was taken care of immediately. And the rest of our stay was perfect. I have already looked at the calendar to see when I can stay again!

Adorable house with huge modern kitchen has all amenities. Smaller bedrooms but didnt affect anything. Peaceful setting right on lake. Good fishing spot. Close to wineries on Keuka Lake. Minor issue was immediately addressed. Would stay here again.

Sharon was very responsive and helpful. The house was exactly as pictured and nicely equipped. Great location for a girls weekend. The welcome bottle of wine was a nice touch that I haven’t experience in the 5+ times I’ve rented from VRBO. Would book again!

A perfect spot on a lake Waneta. The street is quiet with little to no traffics. Awesome lakefront access for fishing and swimming. 15-20 minutes from the Village of Watkins Glen and the racetrack. Everything was phenomenal!

Built by our grandparents when our Mom and her twin sister were just in their teens, this home is filled with a lifetime of special memories. Lifelong family bonds, over 5 generations, have been forged with our siblings, cousins, aunts/uncles, grandparents, extended family and friends during those endless days of summer magic.
Many of us continue to travel from far and wide to come back to the lake each year, providing our families with the opportunity to create ongoing priceless memories.

Why they chose this property

Our Waneta lake house has been the site of many fun-filled family gatherings and offers an escape from the every day hectic pace of daily life. The house has been expanded and updated over the past several years to provide a space where you can truly sit back and relax. The lake has a shallow, gradual slope so the kids can splash around without any hidden drop-offs. Fishermen will love fishing off the 42 foot dock! Enjoy evenings sitting by a lakeside bonfire, watching the sky explode with more stars than you could ever see back home. Most of our renters come back year after year as this is a place that is great for friends vacationing together, families celebrations or for couples looking to relax and unwind.

What makes this property unique

The house has a large, newly renovated kitchen and great room on the lower level making family gatherings, lakeside grilling and entertaining is a snap. The kitchen hosts a large wrap around counter with barstool seating, dishwasher and new appliances.

Large patio doors allows great lake views and access to the upper balcony and anewly renovated outdoor livng space - complete with a large grill station, dining fire-table, pergola, chair swings and lounge chairs.

A separate level hosts 8 Adirondack chairs surrounding a firepit and access to a large L-shaped 46' dock. A bench seat at the end of the dock is great for fishing or just sitting and enjoying the lake.

Multiple tie downs and bumpers line the dock, should you want to bring a personal boat.

When its time to unwind from the days' adventures in recently upgraded mattresses with fresh, crisp linens to provide a great nights' sleep.

Mini-split AC / heating units and ceiling fans are located on each level to provide comfort throughout your stay.
