We stayed at this property for a short winter weekend visit to the area. The house was clean and comfortable, and the property was just as described. Brandon was a great host. Thank you for hosting us!
Stayed here with my Grandkids and they enjoyed it very much. The cabin has a nice setup and has everything you need. There are swimming areas nearby and a waterfall with swimming and great places to eat.
excellent communication, very clean, fun place for down time.
we were there only 2 nights because we were going to Mackinaw but really liked the place. Me and my granddaughter enjoyed the game room. I would stay there again. It was very comfortable.
We had a great time at Mud Creek Cottage! Super easy check and out process and our host responded so quickly when we reached out. Very clean and cute cottage and property! Would definitely stay again!
Just what we needed…quiet & homey. We wanted to do it all, so we picked this cottage that was close enough to Mackinac Island, near woods for ATV-ing, family game nights & s’mores around the fire. Mud Creek didn’t disappoint!
Stayed for a week with family. Very clean and has everything you need. Great place that is centrally located. Easy process and Brandon was great to deal with. Lot's of things to do locally and only 45 minutes from the bridge! Willhereagain!again.
The cabin is not for this large of a group, but otherwise it was absolutely perfect. Bring bug spray! the boys loved the game room and as a base it was well located.

Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Check-in, communication
Dont stay here if you're pulling a big trailer
I lost my phone and my host brandon never returned my wifes calls or messages. Luckily i remembered i have gmail on my phone, or i never wouldve got in. Also the driveway had 2 feet of snow in it, and there is nowhere to turn a snowmobile hauling rig around.
From start to finish, our experience with Brandon & Mud Creek Cottage was fantastic! Had all the amenities and charm one could ask for in an up north cottage. We loved it and hope to rent again. One minor suggestion is to add small bedside lamps. Otherwise, 100% satisfied. Don’t hesitate to rent Mid Creek Cottage!
Had an amazing time with my family making memories to last a lifetime. I grew up most of my life coming up to the area and my parents had lived near the location. My girls enjoyed kayaking everyday, bon fire 🔥, hearing the elk bugle, fishing in the river, Ocqueoc falls, and making big dinners. The game room is a great space too. My girls want to come back every year.
I booked this place last minute when nasty weather determined that our camping group needed drier accommodations than a tent. Host communication was quick and very helpful!
We were pleasantly surprised by the updates and available items in the cabin. The only thing that would have been perfect was a/c but the new lights/fans in every room did an incredible job keeping us cool. The kids loved the game house (it's a separate building from the main cabin). Thank you, Brandon!
It was a wonderful cabin for a weekend getaway for my friends and I. Our dog also came and had a good yard to run around in!
The cabin had a game room, kayaks, a cute creek right behind the house, and a bonfire pit.
The cabin itself was very clean. The kitchen was a huge plus for us bc we all love to cook! It had all your basics - pots, pans, plates, bowls, glasses, cooking utensils, microwave, and coffee maker.
The cabin was in a nice and quiet area. Just about 5-10 minutes away from a couple state parks with beaches.
Brandon was very communicative and friendly! Whenever i had a question, he would respond within a couple of minutes. He had an a/c put it during our stay as well!
10/10 would recommend!
The cottage was very clean, lots of extra touches. There are phone usb chargers on the nightstand just bring your cords. Also, there is a full spice rack in the kitchen. There is a mosquito zapper for outside with a battery bank to use. The property was off the main road but very secluded, separated from the road by trees and a guard rail so we could leave our dog lose in the yard while we were outside. We missed the address the first time thru since you can’t see the house from the road. The best recommendations: go to Ocqueoc Falls, you can actually swim by the rapids and there are also hiking trails. Our dog loved the hiking and the falls. Also, eat at M33 pier located close to downtown Cheboygan.
