Come spend your time away Somewhere Else. This recently built getaway is just minutes from the LR Guest House, LR General Store, Trout Pond, Rockcliff Lake, and near all the mountains and trails ! It's two hours DC, although you will be tempted to visit some of the fun and quirky stops along the way.
SWE was thoughtfully designed and furnished to provide our guests with the ultimate comfortable and relaxing stay on several acres in the George Washington National Forest
With 14 foot high ceilings in an open floor plan, you'll find this home to be both comfortable and spacious, as well as functional. It's perfect for entertaining or bunking down and relaxing by the direct-vent fireplace and OLED Smart TV. Furnished primarily in a mix of West Elm and Arhaus, other distinctive personal touches are designed to surprise and delight you!
The master bedroom features a king bed and the second bedroom offers a queen. It's perfect for two couples or a small family. A blowup, double-height queen airbed is also available.
One of the highlights of the home is the 6-foot free standing bathtub with a rainfall shower overhead. Imagine relaxing here with a good book, music or a podcast streaming over our high-speed fiber internet!
The kitchen features brand-new appliances ready for your culinary experimenting, fully stocked with all necessary small appliances, flatware, cutlery, glassware and more. There is a Keurig coffee maker. The stove is gas fired and tap the fridge glass 3 times to light up the peek-a-boo window. There is also a charcoal Weber grill on the deck for your use.
Double-sliding doors with huge transom windows create a wall of glass and lead to an outdoor dining set for six on our 18' x 36' deck. Step down into nearly three private acres of serene land. Lounge chairs are available to sit fireside, catch some rays on the deck or enjoy some of the best stargazing on the east coast at night. In the mornings deer frequently pass through a path along side the house.
After a day of hiking or swimming at nearby Rockcliff Lake, an outdoor shower under the open sky is a must! You'll find a deckbox filled with fun things including a regulation sized cornhole set, an XL Jenga, a football, and more! Two travel hammocks are in the deckbox and you'll find a beautiful Pawley's Island hammock mounted between two large trees.
A full-sized washer and dryer are provided.
Guest access
You'll have access to the entire property and land. The house has a smart lock and you'll be provided with a personal passcode to lock / unlock. Past guests codes expire when they depart.
HVAC is provided with a brand new forced-air system and controlled via smart thermostat.
