This is NOT the property we were promised; buyer beware!
I’ve given this VRBO apartment in Rio a one star rating; one star due to its prime location on Copa Cabana beach and proximity to stores, cafes, restaurants and other essentials. On the whole however our group felt the apartment property management firm responsible for the actual apartment (Linkhouse Rio) was deceptive and disingenuous with us as their clients and needs to be reported to VRBO as such.
Firstly, while we had a confirmed reservation for another apartment in Rio on Copa Cabana Beach (from the same property management company; (Linkhouse Rio), we were only notified about 24 hrs prior to departing for Brasil, that we were being provided with a “complimentary upgrade” to a new apartment because the property managers had had “so many complaints re the apartment” and that it was “badly in need of maintenance”. They switched us to another apartment (the supposed upgrade) further down the beach, which was of similar location and seemingly similar size. It was definitely NOT however the apartment being shown in the VRBO platform that we had reserved and NOT in the email sent to us requesting our feedback and review. Both of these apartments were superior in terms of their condition and appearance. Our group of 8 felt unanimously that the property manager had pulled a fast one on us and baited us with the first apartment only to dump us into another, much inferior apartment.
