Love the house the scenery the feeling of being so far away but so close to the city at the sand time.. the listing info about amenities add on was a lil off , but communication with host easy convenient
I stayed at this property recently and unfortunately, I cannot recommend it. While the house is decently remodeled and conveniently located, there were several disappointing aspects. The master bed was comfortable, and the fireplaces and butcher block in the kitchen were nice touches. However, the hot tub was dirty and non-functional, and the barbecue was not only inoperative but also filthy.
The check-in process was unnecessarily uncomfortable due to the host repeatedly calling hours before check-in to ‘confirm’ and requesting an additional $70 to heat the hot tub, which ended up not being heated at all. Furthermore, I only received the key code to access the property after reaching out upon arrival.
When I asked the host to adjust the temperature of the hot tub, he ignored my request and did not respond for the remainder of my stay. Despite collecting an additional fee, it was clear they didn’t care about providing a quality experience.
Another important note is that the property shares a driveway with a neighboring house, which blocks mountain views and significantly reduces privacy due to the proximity. Noise from their backyard and patio was easily heard from the property, making it feel intrusive.
Overall, the lack of care, maintenance issues, and misleading listing details made this a disappointing stay.
It's hard to rival the beauty of the Tucson landscape, yet this listing did just that. The house and outside areas play to the strengths of their surroundings offering luxury, comfort and relaxation over every square inch of the property.
Be sure to book an entire day to enjoy all that this home has to offer, we are glad that we built that in amongst the activities that we had planned during our time in Tucson.
Our only suggestion to make the trip run a bit more smoothly would be to add a Quick Guide to the amenities offered on the property for the main shower, outside speaker (one of teens favorite things) and hot tub.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Amazing outdoor pool and patio
This is a functional well appointed house. The grandchildren loved the bunk room and the other two bedrooms were spacious with comfortable beds. Lovely views all around and nice neighborhood. The only struggles were I didn’t receive the check in information but thank goodness for Kaitlin the property manager who was very responsive to my requests and questions. The house was spotlessly cleaned and I know the floor had been mopped but we still got black feet from walking around barefoot. I would definitely stay here again. The pool and spa were so much fun!
We were visiting Tucson to celebrate my father‘s 90th birthday. My wife and I decided to get a Vrbo and picked the Desert Sunset Escape property. What a beautiful home, the house itself is very well appointed, with great detail to all the materials used in the build. Lots of room to stretch out and relax. The master bedroom was very comfortable, and the walk-in shower was a special treat. The kitchen was well stocked with condiments, utensils, pots and pans, and great appliances. Nice amount of barstools and counter space for people to gather around the kitchen. The backyard is a wonderful experience from the hot tub to the tumbling waterfall that empties into the main pool with swim up tables, bar seating, and a wonderful, spacious seating shelf. Water temperatures were perfect for the pool and hot tub …so enjoyable! The garden is beautifully designed with an expansive flagstone patio and fun garden elements. We very much enjoyed cocktails on the patio, watching beautiful sunsets while being serenaded by the occasional coyote in the distance. Excellent communication with our hosts Kaitlyn and Brandon. They immediately answered our questions and quick to resolve any issues.
We will definitely be booking this wonderful Vrbo on our next trip to Tucson, Arizona. Thanks again Kaitlyn and Brandon for your hospitality.
The house exceeded our expectations. The house was fully stocked and well maintained. The backyard had a wonderful view with the added benefit of the pool and hot tub. Brandon and Kaitlyn were great hosts, we asked for an accommodation outside of what’s in the listing and they were willing to allow. I would absolutely come back again, it was hard to leave this little paradise in Tucson.
