Cozy 1930's apartment at the top of the trees in Fort Russell neighborhood.

Welcome to our 1930s bungalow in the winsome Fort Russell neighborhood. Downtown is only a 10 min. stroll where you can enjoy restaurants, coffee shops or the farmers market. The U of I is only 5-6 minutes by car & WSU only 8.5 miles away. Our upstairs apartment has a spacious studio bedroom complete with a sitting room and work area. There is also a kitchen with a small refrigerator, hot plate, microwave and coffee maker. All the utensils you need to fix a light meal are available to you.

Please note: This apartment does require climbing stairs as it is on the top floor of the home.

Host canceled the day of

We booked the property on June 14 for the Cougs v Beavs game. The morning of our stay, I messaged the host to see if we could drop our bags off early. She replied that the room got double booked and she had to cancel our reservation. I asked when the other people made their reservation and she didn't answer that question. She messaged back that there was a room available in a house in Troy, and that i should hurry to reserve it. I'm not comfortable staying in a room in a stranger's house and I felt that at this point it should be her responsiblity to pay the difference between my original booking and a hotel room. Every hotel within 45 minutes of Pullman was booked and we ended up having to drive an hour and spend more than double for a hotel room. She didn't reply for HOURS, at which point she offered to let us stay in her extra bedroom. It was a nice offer, but by the time she responded, we'd had to make other arrangements and again, I'm not comfortable staying in a stranger's house with them. Worst VRBO experience ever. To be fair, VRBO made me rate cleanliness, etc. Because of the overall experience, I rated everything a one star, but I can't honestly speak to anything about the property.
