Beautiful property with everything you need

We spent a long weekend at the farmhouse and absolutely adored it. The house is well-appointed and well-maintained, especially for a house from 1768. We were happy that the heat worked well—it was very cold outside—and enjoyed the hot tub and grill outside despite the snow. The kitchen had everything we needed to make multi-course dinners, the wifi worked well to stream movies, the linens were soft, and there was plentiful firewood for the stove. The historic farmhouse is in great shape, and the new addition is lovely too. It was a very cozy weekend, and we really appreciate how thoughtfully put together this house is - including everything we needed for our pups to frolic securely in the fenced yard. They've thought of everything you might need here. Highly recommend it - we'd happily return!

Wow!

This is a very special place! It was even better than advertised! Ernesto was great. Helpful, easy to work with, quick to answer questions. The property was beautiful! Beds were even comfortable. Kitchen REALLY well stocked! We had 12 for Thanksgiving dinner and had all of the cooking and eating paraphernalia we needed. Plenty of room for all of us.The view from the kitchen was amazing! The lake, geese swans; just beautiful.I truly can’t say enough good things about Ernesto or this beautiful, historic home!

Spectacular setting and beautiful authentic historical home

My husband and I returned to NJ for our daughter's bridal shower. We chose the Old Sneathen Mill House as it spoke volumes of peace and tranquility and the home itself is absolutely amazing. The grounds and view were stunning. The lake, the geese, the cornfields and last but not least - the sunset! What wonderful memories. We will be returning in November for the wedding and can't wait for the event but staying in such an authentic historical home is a much added PLUS.

Warm wintery escape

Absolutely loved our stay in this historic property! It was comfortable and warm for our New Year’s Eve stay. Loved the view of the river with swans. Such and interesting place. Hope to see it in the spring someday.

Cozy Christmas

The property was just as described. The whole property was fenced in and the driveway was gated providing security for our two Australian Shepherds that love to run. We spent a lot of time out in the yard throwing frisbees and balls for them. They got to chase the 100's of geese once, but after that the geese stayed on the pond, so they did not get to do it again. The kitchen and foyer was very cozy, and the historic house was really cool. I especially liked the basement living area, and managed to get a couple of naps in down there. We made good use of the kitchen as we cooked a prime rib, a ham, turkey and ribs, as well as baking Christmas cookies. The kitchen was very well stocked. We had dinner with each of our daughters and grandkids on different nights, and it was a great place to spend time with them. Thank you Ernesto for everything. We thoroughly enjoyed the property and our stay.

Perfect Country Getaway

We stayed at this lovingly maintained home over a long weekend. This historical home has been completely renovated to include all the modern conveniences one could need without sacrificing any of the original details. It's so warm and welcoming! The large property is peaceful and fully fenced (with the exception of the edges of the lake) so it was perfect for our pup to roam safely. We sipped our morning coffee while watching bald eagles and osprey and finished our day with a thrilling trip to the Cowtown Rodeo. What a perfect day! Thank you Ernesto for sharing this incredible home and for being such an excellent host!

Most welcoming of any place I’ve stayed!

This house was exactly as explained and then some. The old mill is fun and gorgeous and fully stocked. Personal touches made the stay even more enjoyable. Thank you for sharing this beautiful property with our family.

South Jersey Gem!

My family and I were so impressed with this property. It has been meticulously maintained and combines the best of history and modern comfort. Dating back to 1768, core elements of the home have been maintained and preserved for over 250 years while adding a state of the art kitchen not to mention top-of-the-line electrical and plumbing. Best AC in all the homes we stayed in! The property management is tops with Ernesto. Couldn’t recommend more highly. Beautiful grounds. Only point to note is there are better lakes around to kayak and paddleboard on; consider Lake Parvin and Sunset Lake. Property is also just an hour from Atlantic City or to Cape May (we preferred Cape May!)
