About this property

Private Lake Getaway on exclusive Perch Lake

Take the long winding driveway through the trees, along the lake and back to a private secluded home surrounded by nature and with its very own exclusive lake to enjoy. It is a spring fed lake that offers outstanding fishing, with bass, crappy, bluegill and pike just waiting to take the bait.
There is a small sandy beach area perfect for kids to play at and other areas with many frogs and other interesting things to catch. The portable swim raft is great for swimming off of and there is a canoe and paddle boat available for use as well.
The greatest attributes of this destination are the scenic views and experiences with nature and wildlife. The lake house, though it's nothing too fancy, will provide a comfortable and relaxing accommodation for your stay.
The home has a master bedroom with a queen size bed and is directly connected to the bathroom which is also accessible to the hallway. The secondary bedroom has a bunk bed with 2 queens and a twin trundle. There is extra sleeping arrangements in the living room with a pullout queen bed in the sectional coach.
The kitchen is spacious and provides all the essentials for cooking and baking with a full size fridge, microwave and electric stove. The dining area is next to the kitchen and looking out to the lake. The living room has lots of seating and currently has a TV, DVD player and a collection of movies to choose from.
There is a large deck that is perfect for relaxing and taking in the views of the lake during the day, and is surrounded by string lights to hang out and enjoy the sounds of nature at night. There is a propane grill that is available to be used as well.
The 14 acre property also features some walking trails to explore.

Relaxing
Loved the high trees entering and the long winding trail. The lake house was cute and very roomy. Loved the privacy and the view was beautiful. The dogs had a great time too. Hated to leave.

Family time
We really enjoyed the privacy and beauty of this place. My boys loved fishing in the lake and taking out the boats. The property is listed as having Wi-Fi but it does not have it. That wasn’t a huge problem. The house was nice, clean, and comfortable. The owners were kind and quick to answer questions.

Lake Getaway
Close to Lake Gage and Lake James. My boys decided not to hit the big lakes for three full days because of the excitement at this cabin. This is a private, secluded, haven. The wildlife and nature here are thriving. Other than fireworks, all we could hear was nature for three days. I'd go back here over the busy lakes anytime.

Weekend away
Clean and exactly as stated. We used the pedal boat to fish from middle of lake and spent hours relaxing on the water. Enjoyed the peace and quiet and all of the wildlife. Bed was comfortable. Stocked with everything we needed, except spices. Recommend to bring your own. Will come again.

Beautiful location
The property is very beautiful. You don’t often get to have a lake and a large piece of property to yourself. The trailer is large. I appreciated the double bunk beds for our 4 girls. You are definitely getting what you pay for accommodation wise. It was clean but definitely very old. The dock and water platform were pretty rickety and could use repair. There is no WiFi or TV reception. The grill did not work. There were a few sparse towels available. If you are an outdoorsy person who loves to unplug this is the place for you.

Excellent relaxation without city life
This place was very quiet, relaxing, full of nature, extremely clean lake, and cozy. It was very well equipped with kitchen supplies, towels/toiletries, and plenty of extra bedding supplies. The walking trail was great to get back to nature and some clean air. At night, it was great to just hear the sound of crickets, birds, and frogs croaking. This could very easily be a five-star location with just a few improvements. The drive into the location was a little overgrown and some on the hanging branches scratched the top of the truck slightly. Not a huge deal for us as it is a 2004 and has plenty of battle wounds as it is. There were three fly strips that were full and two were in the kitchen area. They must have been doing their job because we didn't see any flies but, it just a little concerning while cooking. The only other issue was the master bedroom A/C was a little loud when kicking on and did wake us up a few times. However, all and all we enjoyed getting away and this is a wonderful place to do it!
