About this property
Northeast Harbor home wth beautiful interior and walking distance to town/harbor
"The Treehouse" is a custom built post and beam home set on a private lane. Light filled and comfortable, there is a living room with fireplace, dining room with vaulted ceiling and skylights, kitchen, cozy den and a bathroom on the main middle level. Upstairs are two bedrooms and one bath and downstairs are two more bedrooms. The large sunny deck, with seating area and teak dining table and chairs, is perfect for relaxing or dining any time of day. This home is beautifully decorated with a personal touch, specially chosen art and Maine antiques. The Treehouse is a quiet retreat ideally located within the heart of Northeast Harbor and walking distance to the shops, bakeries, restaurants and galleries on Main Street, a private yacht club, walking trails, and the Harbor, Town Marina and public tennis courts. A short drive will take you to all parts of Mount Desert Island; Acadia National Park, lakes, ponds and beaches, notable gardens, as well as the Villages of Bar Harbor, Southwest Harbor, and Tremont. Boating, hiking, sightseeing, swimming, boating, farmer's markets and dining are available all over the Island. One can find all levels of great dining from an outdoor lobster pound, a fun food truck with delicious lobster rolls, fine dining, or a cocktail or meal overlooking the water. A ferry is available at the Northeast Town Marina to take you to the Cranberry Islands for more adventure, a meal, or a sightseeing tour by water. Whale watching and other water tours are available in Bar Harbor.
