Fantastic rental! Very comfortable furniture including beds, awesome kitchen, and a fabulous outdoor fire pit! We enjoyed our stay. Beautiful place! Would love to come back!
Outstanding cabin with beautiful views. The host was very responsive and helpful. The cabin was clean and well stocked, including all the cooking convenances. Each room was nicely decorated, and the beds were comfortable.
This cabin was great for our two families. It had plenty of space for the nine of us. It was well kept, and you can tell the owner put a lot of time into the restoration/remodeling of the cabin. It was very well equipped with kitchen gadgets to cook as well as games for indoor time. I can't say anything negative about the property and would stay here again if we are in the area!
Our family had a wonderful time at this cabin in Grand Lake. We enjoyed the deck and the view. We enjoyed great meals together, made at the cabin. We watched playoff games as well as some football. We hiked a lot! (Be sure and hit the loop around Monarch lake!) We even took a day and went to the Alpine Center and over to Estes Park. We loved having three bathrooms. Even the bathrooms were well stocked. ;) thank you for allowing us to use your cabin.
We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful renovated cabin overlooking Lake Granby. The views were phenomenal and it was obvious the owners have a great attention for detail. The kitchen is great and very well stocked. Not recommended for anyone that has trouble with stairs.
Words cannot describe the sheer beauty of this house. Its elegance astonished us. It came as a delightful surprise to learn that the floors were heated. It had all the amenities we could ever ask for, and even more. To our great joy, when we unintentionally left some of our things behind, the host promptly reached out to us and sent them back by mail. This was an experience unlike any we've had before. Without a doubt, we wholeheartedly endorse this house. This has been, by far, the most incredible vacation we've ever had.
Our group of 6 adults and 2 kids loved our stay at this awesome home. If you are looking for the “mountain cabin” feel with a great view, this is it. Unlike many vacation rentals that can feel very hotel-like, this really feels like a home. There are plenty of games, books, and amenities that let you know this home is used frequently by its owners, and these owners have great taste. The location is perfect for exploring all of Grand County and everything it offers. Our kids loved climbing on the rocks and the adults enjoyed walking up the hill and along a waterway that feeds Granby Lake. If you spend time around the fire pit at night, you should expect a visit from a deer or two. We look forward to our next opportunity to return to this home for more relaxation and fun.
This was our first time in Grand Lake. The area is beautiful. Lots of hiking. Views from the home are as awesome as they show in the pictures from listing. The home was more than enough space for our 4 person family. The kids loved the bunk beds! The property has a fantastic kitchen and we enjoyed being able to cook dinners, especially since there aren't many restaurants in the area. There is only 1 tv in the whole home, but it wasn't too much of an issue since we were only there in the evenings. The fire pit was great for smores! If you need groceries, definitely go to the City Market in Granby. Its about a 20 minute drive from the home. There are local markets in Grand Lake but is a bit expensive and limited. The host was friendly and very quick to respond. We will definitely will be back!
Property was amazing and as described. The roof expands and contracts with the changing temperature and makes some loud sounds at night, but nothing that bothered our enjoyment of the place. Very clean cabin with three floors and an amazing main floor deck with views of Granby Lake. A couple of notes, the master suite is the entire third level with an amazing shower, but doesn't have a door separating from the main floor below. Also, the two balconies off of the master suite on the third floor has wide joists and the decking flexes to an uncomfortable level, so we stayed off of those balconies. The main deck was perfect and is where we preferred to stay anyways, so it wasn't an issue for our stay. We didn't use the firepit area but the space was spectacular for someone wanting to use it. Overall we were more than happy with our stay.
Grand Lake is a true four season town and a hidden gem (at least for now). We have traveled all over the world and we want to share what we often call our Chateau (yes we are French) in Grand Lake. This home has been lovingly renovated (yes that means DIY) and remains a getaway for ourselves and our families. We spared no details and are hopeful you will enjoy and care for the cabin.
Why they chose this property
This is a low key, non pretentious neighborhood and that is why we love it. Explore the authentic life of mountain living while being pampered with all the luxuries that you deserve while on vacation. The sunrise and sunsets from the huge deck make our morning coffees and evening meals that much more memorable.
What makes this property unique
This is a true log cabin that has been renovated with blood, sweat, tears, and love. When you arrive, you will notice that is so much more than just a place to sleep; but it's a home where you will fall in love with Grand Lake, Colorado.
