Extremely old units probably built in 1960s-70s. Pictured were ground level units and 2nd floor units were referred to as “1st Floor “ in the ads. My adult daughter has walking disabilities so we needed no stairs and ground level access. Pictured are steep 28stairs to the 2nd level that was our apartment. I requested ground level but none available. I checked out 2 hrs later forfeiting my prepaid room cost for 2 days (which was required 353)..
We appreciate the easy check in process the beds are comfortable we couldn’t figure the wifi out but it was still a great time relaxing stay thank you’
The extremely clean apartment offered a very low price. It offered great wifi, a smart tv, a basic kitchen and two bedrooms, one bath. Nothing really fancy but all we needed for our stay in Fairbanks. Plenty of clean sheets and towels. Bring lots of quarters for the few laundry machines in the basement or just use one of the many nearby laundromats. Lots of steps up to the second floor but parking right next to the steps.
Fit our needs as to having a place to shower & sleep. We were always on the go so didn’t spend much time there. Complex was quiet. Could use a new mattress in master. Kind of rolled towards center of mattress when trying to lay on edge.
This property met our needs as we did not intend to spend much time in the property. Mainly for sleeping and showers. This unit was on the second floor. The staircase was very steep and long. My wife and I are seniors and we endured a very difficult ordeal to climb the stairs with our luggage.Otherwise, all was good.
We were not impressed by this vacation home. If the previous vacationer didn’t clean up after themselves, neither did the owner/property manager. Several items in the kitchen still had food on them. The cabinets had food residue on the door and inside the cabinets themselves. Not sure when the last time the bathroom floor was completely cleaned. There was black stuff on the walls and ceiling, not sure if it was mold or soot. The only thing that was clean was the lines. On a positive note, the bed was very soft and comfortable. The area was very quiet too.
We showed up earlier then expected. So with that said, the owner was very kind and understanding so he rushed to do the best he can in an hour to get the unit ready but overall it was a great experience.

Liked: Check-in, communication
Erick was easy and kind to work with, the property and the neighborhood were a little rough
Erick was very good on his communication, he also went out of his way to accommodate us when we needed the place nearly 2 hours early because of a car hiccup. He was great. The neighborhood was not quite what we expected, it’s a little more run down then I realized. People were walking around the area a lot, working on their trucks, we could here kids running in the other apartments below us. There is a Salvation Army and a food bank right down the block so this created a bunch of different people walking and hanging out on the roads, so as two females we didn’t feel as comfortable as we would have liked and we stayed in after dark.
It was less than pleasant. The listing was misleading, it stated it was “close to everything” but we had to go to the other side of town to find suitable restaurants and shops. The listing did not say it was upstairs and had no stair lighting. The condition of the unit was surface clean, walls were dirty.
When we arrived we noticed the bed frame in the second bedroom was the wrong size, the boxsprings were broken causing the bed to bend in the middle. The kitchen wasn’t very clean and the refrigerator made a lot of noise.
When we called the host to tell him about the bed he became very rude and said we were lying. When we sent pictures he admitted the bed was broken, no apology given.
We ended up removing the bed from the frame to sleep on the first night. The host brought a different bed frame for the second night, this frame was too big for mattress and box springs, but at least supported the bed.
Don’t mean to complain, just stating the facts. Properties like this one combined with the attitude of the host does not instill confidence in the VRBO program.
