Host was amazing and very accommodating. Beautiful sight of the lake, was even able to explore and birdwatch from the kayaks that were available for use. The AC/heat and other furnishings worked perfectly. Bed was very comfortable, great stay!
Enjoyed our stay very much! The treehouse room was nice and it cooled down quickly as the sun went down. The owner was extremely friendly and accommodating. A very pleasant experience all around!
Owner need to be more timely with check-in time but other than that, beautiful place & location on the lake was perfect! I loved having the kayak at my disposal. Will be back!
Big roaches a lot of mosquitos inside really small space just overall not what we expected and certainly way over priced

Outdoorsy people only!
The overall stay was great very quiet, a pampered outdoor experience. This place is cute and great idea for a stay but I would suggest a few things. If you leave you cannot lock the door the only way to lock the door is from the inside putting a stick in the sliding door to keep it from opening. The huge bathtub I was so excited for and was a disappointment the hot water only filled the tub a quarter of the way before it ran out. We tried to use the water heater they have above the toilet and it did not work wouldn’t even turn on or anything. So it was a huge let down. ( there’s also a rodent of some kind that lives behind the toilet which may be why it didn’t work it made lots of noise at night) The cleaning fee is too much for something that is so small and still wasn’t super clean. Under the bed was very dusty and had things that had things fallen under for awhile now that was still there. (I dropped something that’s the only way I found out)I just feel like there needs to be a few upgrades to make it more accommodating and make sure things work before putting someone in there to stay. Again we loved our stay if you aren’t an outdoorsy person then I would not suggest it. But if you are an outdoorsy person this would be a great stay for you if these things promised in the previous reviews were fixed and were upgraded!
All in all, we had a wonderful stay! It was super cute and the description of the property was accurate. The only complaints we had were that it got extremely cold at night and we did not have any blankets. Granted, blankets were not listed in the description but we were banking on the heater being able to heat the small space. The other thing was the hot water was limited and there was a clear hose going into the tub draining water. That did not feel extremely cleanly BUT did not take away from the overall experience. I will definitely recommend it to others in the future(:
Dont just take my word for it please carefully read this review and all the others. This guy has an amazing photographer, thats about it. check the weather these units have no insulation whatsoever the doors do not properly close and you can see daylight through the roof so whatever the temperature outside is that is the temperature inside if its been rainy expect wet floors... the cleaning fee of 100 dollars is a joke the previous guests dirty laundry at the top of the stairs, dusty cobwebs in the windows. A rusty fridge. A more acurate title would be primitive camping in a tree, which is fine if thats what your looking for, but thats not what is listing appears to be... bait and switch. Buy the cancelation insurance....
My friend and I recently had the most incredible stay at the treehouse retreat, and I can’t wait to share our amazing experience! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the charm and tranquility of this unique getaway.
First and foremost, the hospitality we received was top-notch. Despite a minor hiccup with the AC upon our arrival, the host promptly addressed the issue within a mere 20 minutes, ensuring our comfort throughout our stay. Their attentiveness and swift response truly impressed us.
One of the highlights of our stay was the opportunity to cook outdoors. The well-equipped cooking area provided everything we needed to prepare delicious meals amidst the serenity of nature. It was an absolute joy to savor our culinary creations while surrounded by the breathtaking views of the lush greenery.
The treehouse itself was a true marvel. Not only did it offer a comfortable and cozy atmosphere, but it also provided all the modern amenities one could wish for. The presence of hot water and cool air made our stay incredibly pleasant, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable—guaranteeing a peaceful night’s sleep amidst the gentle sounds of nature.
The presence of a beautiful lake added to the overall enchantment of the retreat. Although we didn’t have the chance to use the canoes, the sight of the serene lake waters was a soothing balm for our souls. The view alone was worth a thousand words and served as
We need a place that was dog friendly and that was how we ended up on this listing even though it felt a little risky because of a recent negative review we took a chance and had some major regrets. There is nothing luxury about this listing. It is glorified camping with the cost not matching the accommodations at all. We stay in VRBO properties in TX often and have paid less for way more. I HATE leaving negative reviews as my partner owns his own business but feel in this case it’s helpful for future possible renters. Main complaints/concerns was the inability to lock the only door at all, huge gaps in ceiling panels that made for a very cold night, large cockroaches crawling all over the sleeping area/bed and a host/cleaning fee almost as much as the rent for a night and the discovery of a pair of old crusty fake eyelashes right next the bed. The tub was a huge factor in our decision to book and never got more than 2 inches of hot water in it. For the amount of money you will spend, spend it on a more accommodating rental and if you’re looking to just camp, save your money and just camp! This was just like camping and if we’d known that would have been the case, we would have been more prepared with camping gear and saved our money.

Manage your expectations.
If this place were a lot cheaper, I wouldn't complain, but the price does not justify the accommodations. Lovely location, with some charm, but it is just a step above camping. A/C unit worked great. However, it's important to warn future guests of a few things-
1. The door cannot be locked from the outside. You can use a mop handle to secure it from the inside, but there is no way to lock it when you leave. We had to leave our puppy in his crate to meet family for dinner, and we were so nervous about theft! It seems insane to not provide a means of securing the place when you are away.
2. There is no bathroom. There is a toilet, which you look at directly while laying in the bed. Thin, gauzy shower curtains don't do much to help with privacy.
3. The tub leaves much to be desired. We were so excited to have a soak in the "luxurious" jetted tub, but it was a little worse for the wear, and there was a leaky tube that went from the wall above the toilet that leaked water into the tub periodically. Just not very appealing. We did not feel comfortable bathing here.
4. FYI, Google Maps will not lead you to the right spot. This would have been nice to know ahead. We couldn't get ahold of the host, and had to walk and drive around the area for a while to find it.
All in all, it is a cute spot in a nice location, but it should be priced much lower. Until then, I'll pay the same for nicer accommodations, or pay much less and just go camping.
