My husband and I stayed here for four days and it was very quiet, comfortable and clean. We were here for a music festival and had no trouble getting an Uber to and from the venue. Finally, we didn’t have any trouble with the hot water so the concern must have been corrected.
The house is clean inside and it is obvious the owner has put much love into the house to make it nice. The bed is very comfy. We had to communicate with the owner and she was fantastic and responded quickly.
The place was as described. Cute cozy place to relax 😌 ☺️ 😊. Could use some minor improvements, but perfect for a quiet getaway.

It was just fine
There was a closet, with only a couple of hangers. No dresser to put clothes in or personal items on.The lights in the bedroom didn’t work. The shower leaked through a tile by tub, so the floor flooded. We were only there to sleep, so it was just fine. Not a place we’d want to hang out at.
This place was a great place to stay. It was not far from anything I needed to get to. As well as the host communication and replies were great. Recommended lots of places to eat as well as events in town during my stay. I would definitely come back and rent this place again
Alexia is an excellent host! Thanks so much for being so responsive and kind for letting us check in early after an early flight in from Boston!Nice little apartment for the price at a convenient location. We had a great time seeing Houston for the first time and found the apartment's location convenient for the Space Center, Toyota Center, and Meow Wolf.We did encounter some pest issues... but perhaps they are ubiquitous in warmer climates? And I saw some other guests commenting about hot water problems - we had no issues with that, but the shower does leak onto the floor when running thru a hole in the wall. All in all, a few minor issues but great location and great host.

Property Condition and Safety Concerns Led to Early Departure
The property condition differed significantly from the listing photos. The house shows considerable wear, including visible stains and tears on the furniture. While the location is conveniently close to downtown Houston, I experienced serious safety concerns during my stay. One night involved extensive police activity in the immediate area, including helicopter presence and armed officers around the property. Due to these safety concerns, I ultimately decided to end my stay early.
Host was very attentive and responded very fast.. Location is right by the University of Houston and is convenient and is close to everything downtown/midtown.. Nightlight was a vibe!!!! Very nice and clean space.. The only issue I had was the hot water heater stopped working but she immediately accommodated my needs and allowed me to use the shower next door.. The house has two sides just to give you a heads up. But overall I enjoyed my stay
First time in Houston and I must say when I arrived at the location I was a little skeptical because of the block and there were so many people standing outside a half of block down but it was actually quiet and very peaceful.when I went into the property I was like omg it’s so nice & beautiful, very clean, and the air was turned on prior to me entering so that such a relief. A few spiders and geckos on the front porch but overall far as bugs that was it,The host was accommodating to my time zone change and allowed me to enter early because I was completely thrown off by it and I was just standing outside but she helped me out and I really appreciated that
The pictures on VRBO accurately reflect the actual interior of this cute unit. And the relatively low price was also much appreciated. The kitchen is well-appointed, with coffee, sugar, creamer and a good array of expected kitchen tools. The bathroom and bedroom were comfortable and well-appointed, as was the living room.
The ‘deal-breaker’ was the fact that the gas line coming into the unit failed for an unknown reason. That meant no hot water for showers, etc. and no ability to use the stove or burners. The management representative was quite proactive in communicating the status of this, but was unable to facilitate the needed repair/resolution in my 5-day stay.
When I arrived, the third ward neighborhood was of a bit concern, but over my 5-day stay I had no negative experiences in the unit, with my vehicle, etc.
Would I stay here again? Save the hot water failure, yes. Definitely. L~
