Incredible Mansion in the Woods

Our family rented this incredible, beautiful cabin for Thanksgiving week. The space was perfect for our family. The host quickly responded to questions. Each adult couple had their own room with bathroom and the 8 bed bunk room had 2 full baths which was perfect for all the grands. There was plenty of activities on sight to entertain every age from toddler to adult. Highly recommend for large families wanting a place to be together but space to retreat if needed. The grands called it the Mansion! Even though this is a beautiful space, I want to provide a list of items to bring that I wished I would have known before arriving. This is not meant to take away from this amazing place but to better prepare you for your stay. I wished I would have known so I could have brought them with me to save paying convenience store prices after we arrived. TO BRING: 1. There are no kitchen linens at all. Nothing. Only a few pot holders for the oven so bring your own dish towels, dish cloths and paper towels, etc. 2. Nice gas grill but no propane tank provided. $ 3. Bring your own laundry supplies if you use items other than detergent. 4. No cleaning supplies at all. Only dish soap, dishwasher pods. 5. There are several nice cooking utensils but I would bring a can opener and spatula or other favorites. 6. Bring beach towels for hot tub. This is an amazing cabin with spectacular views and amenities. Memories, fun and lots of laughter were had by all. We look forward to returning again!

Like staying at a mansion in the woods

Wonderful property! Very clean, well furnished, TONS of space. The views from the balconies are incredible, and the bunk room was great for several full grown men to share with decent sized beds and two nice full bathrooms attached. Each of the private bedrooms were excellent. Nice array of games and activities. Close to all the Hochatown activities without being too close. The surrounding woods are gorgeous. Surrounding area has a lot to do, just don’t expect to have any grocery options for the very nice kitchen. Go to Broken Bow for that. We had a hiccup with the fridge not working for the first several hours but the host was immediately responsive and took care of the issue asap. Check in and check out was smooth and easy. Highly suggest communicating with Host via phone or text as Vrbo messaging was not as quick a reply. Phone/text was pretty much an immediate response and very polite. Important: The road in is not great, and the hill that the property is on is extremely steep. Be confident in your vehicle’s ability to scale a steep incline on gravel or adjust what car you’re using accordingly. No one got stuck, but it was a little harrowing. Also, the road in isn’t on Apple Maps yet so you have to use Google (host provided clear instructions regarding maps and lack of wireless service). We would return here again!
