Beautiful secluded property. Feels far from everything but 15 mins from I-71S. Well done, thought out. Automatic lights when you pull up outside, swingset for the kids, board games,,local cable, kitchen necessities, all the extra touches. Will definitely book again!!
We have stayed at this wonderful cabin multiple times. We look at our place to kick back, relax and put our worries aside. I hope to come back multiple times
We had an exceptional stay. We stayed one night, a little weekend getaway with our three year old daughter. The cabin was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of extra blankets and towels. We loved how peaceful the location was, wish we could have stayed another night! Nathan was great with communication and the best part...my daughter left behind a Bluey toy she had just gotten and Nathan mailed it back to us immediately. It was very thoughtful. We definitely plan to come back for a longer stay next time.
What an amazing place to stay!!! The cabin was just perfect. It was so clean, stocked with everything we needed and very peaceful and relaxing! Thank you!
We live in the country so we are used to the quiet but this place was even better. Couldn't believe how quiet & peaceful. Hosts thought of everything we could possibly need also. Will definitely be back and have recommended the cabin to others.
Our only regret was not spending more time here. We arrived late, after dark, and left early, before sunrise. The property is awesome and the star gazing was great.
Wanted to find a place to gather with friends for a long fireside chat to catch up. We all loved this quiet setting and that hug of a cabin with its sweet appointments. So grateful our hosts created such a special place! Loved having time with my friends there.
Owner was extremely communicative and was quick to let us mnow there had been a tornado near by that may affect our route getting there. He sent detour routes and offered to help any way he could. Our GPS got us there with no issue though. The home was very cozy and clean. The property was beautiful. My only regret is that we didnt stay longer and that the weather wasn't to where we could have explored more if the property and all it had to give. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a getaway that seems like it is in the middle of nowhere but is actually convenient to the city at the same time. Thank you for such a wonderful home away from home!
Loved the cabin. Wish I had more time there, but I had to leave pretty early. It had everything I needed. I appreciated chocolates by the bed. Would be a great place to come back and hike sometime.
my stay was very relaxing and the accommodations were even better than I expected. I will definitely be back!

About the host
Hosted by Channing Stewart
Nathan and Channing met back in 2012 at an organized run in Seneca Park. After bumping into each other at local races, Ironman events, and organized training runs, they became training partners and logged hundreds of hours and miles together training as friends. Five years later, Nathan worked up the courage to ask Channing out on a date, and the rest is history! After years together as partners (both in life and in business,) they wed in December of 2021. Together they have built a farm, a life, a dream, and a space for people to create dreams of their own, all in memory of the Stewart family legacy begun by John and Mary Stewart in the early 1970's.
Why they chose this property
Our mission in sharing The Meadow House Cabin is to provide our clients with affordable options to connect with nature, relax and unwind and view the true beauty our county has to offer. We hope that our cabin provides a beautiful and unique place to help individuals, couples or families create wonderful memories.
We also love the Oldham County community, and we want nothing more than to provide a place on our farm that encourages interaction with and appreciation of our natural surroundings! By promoting agritourism and our farmland, we hope to encourage an appreciation of Kentucky's farms that continue to be threatened with residential development. We look forward to your visits and hope you do visit the county's local vendors and small business, promote community cohesion, and to relax with family and friends.
What makes this property unique
On a clear night, with no other buildings in sight and without any ambient light, you can look up to the sky and see millions of stars. In the spring and summer, lightning bugs light up our woods and frog song serenades you to sleep. Our farm is also an animal sanctuary of sorts - we don't allow any hunting, therefore, it is home to so many different types of animals. Deer, raccoons, turkeys, raccoons, rabbits, foxes, otters, and egrets are just some of the amazing animals we have the privilege of seeing. It may feel like you are in the middle of nowhere because our cabin is nestled in the middle of woods, but we are only 10 minutes off of I-71 and we are close to historic downtown La Grange which is home to unique shops and restaurants.
