Property Manager failed to respond to concerns
Area is great. Building not so much. Upon first entering the condo there is a musty odor, that never went away. The bathroom exhaust fan is almost completely covered in dust. A toothpick laying on the floor. On the second night, a cockroach scared the crap out of me, I wasn’t quick enough to kill it. It ran into a closet. I alerted the property manager that evening of some of the issues. No response was ever given.

We have stayed at Summer Spell many times in the past. We love the location and affordability being just across the service road from the gorgeous Gulf of Mexico. While the condo was perfect, clean and well stocked, we were not pleased with the amount of noise in the complex. There were kids everywhere, out in the pool and hot tub until almost midnight and one night until 2am!! Whoever was above us on the third floor was jumping and banging all night long. Not what we are used to at Summer Spell. But again, to reiterate, the condo was great! The only complaint was a very uncomfortable couch. Great condo for the money! Thanks to the owners.

I cannot say enough good things about this condo! I am a stickler for cleanliness and decor and this place does not disappoint. Right down to the great beach chairs (Tommy Bahama) the umbrella for shade on the beach and such a short walk to the beach!! The king sized bed was very comfortable, the furniture over all was clean of stains etc so I felt like I could actually relax while sitting on the couch. The location could not have been better and the parking and no elevators to wait on was an added bonus!! This condo “felt” new to the VRBO site and we would highly recommend it and will plan to stay again in the future. This is a 5 star rental. Danny & Kim R

Great family getaway
This condo was perfect for our family of 4 (2 little ones, 3 and under). Location was perfect, short walk to the beach, and Pompano Joe's, where we grabbed dinner most nights, just so we didn't have to get in the car with the kids. The pool was right below our balcony which was very convenient as well. Overall great stay!

We stayed in this condo for 4 nights and loved it. The location is perfect, you are about as close as you can get to the beach without being right on it. It is right across the street from a free public beach. We went during a very busy time, but I never felt like the beach was too crowded. The room included 4 beach chairs and an umbrella that we used everyday. There were also some beach toys that our little girl used. The pool was also nice, we used it every night.

SUMMER SPELL #203
Excellent location for Beach access !! All the fun little shops and restaurants are within walking distance. Pompano Joe's has the best Happy Hour and is located right across the street. This is our 2nd stay at Summer Spell and will be our go-to for future visits. The condo is stocked with everything you need to make your vacation complete, from fantastic views to comfy beds and stocked kitchen supplies. Highly recommend - 5 stars

Great rental with beach view!
Great location! So close to the beach! Very nice rental, clean and fresh! To many good things to list! So I will just put out some inconvenience that I found to my family. The washer and dryer they mention is not in the house, but a coin laundry downstairs. The bunkbed is built a little hard to get up there. First rental that ask to empty dishwasher and put everything back to their place😅.(normally just wash the last load and leave them there) other than that, pool and jacuzzi are great! Sound proof surprised me. I thought would hear some noise since it is so close to the pool and beach. But very quiet! Would recommend!

GREAT VALUE, GOOD LOCATION
Good value, close to alot of cool stuff, easy to get to beach, watch the waves from your patio. Very clean. Great value. Go grocery shopping first. paper products, seasonings etc. Limited stock in kitchen and groceries paper products are costly.

This is our second trip to Miramar Beach and we love the area. Not overly crowded. The Condo was very clean and nicely decorated. We had no issues at all. Would highly recommend.

This was our second year at Summerspell. The ocean view is worth the price alone but the sunsets we saw this trip were spectacular! We had an issue with a kitchen lite which required our owners help to resolve. He was there with in the hour, worked on it for the better part of two hours, installed a new fixture and a fader switch! He was such joy to talk to and we were most grateful for his prompt response to the issue. We would recommend Summerspell to all as we had a wonderful experience ourselves and you just won't find any better ocean views from your own patio!!

This is a great location. No obstruction of view to the sunsets and beautiful water. *please keep in mind we have a 19 month old son* We didn’t get in to the condo until after 9pm because the codes sent didn’t work. The trip alone was 11.5 hours from Texas, then add in all of the food/potty/diaper change stops. That put us in the car for at least 14 hours. Our son was sick of being pent up in the car. So we arrive and the code sent doesn’t work. Also she stated in the instructions to turn the knob to the right (which we later found out we have to turn to the left). We contacted Shannyn and she sent 3 or 4 different codes and none of them worked. She and her husband had to drive 30 minutes to get to the condo and fix whatever the issue was and we finally got in. Immediately upon arrival we noticed the 2 ceiling fan light fixtures were cracked. Did we get a picture as proof? No. Because we HAVE A TODDLER that we just spent 14 hours in the car with. And then the downstairs neighbors complained that he was running across the floors. I know how frustrating that is, so I apologized profusely and we became friends. Fast forward to checking out- we left 3 full days early because we had to get home to our dogs. I received an email stating Shannyn is charging us $1300 for damages to the property, which includes, ceiling fan fixture replacement, pillow replacement because one was torn in half(???), couch cleaning, and apparently we had a pet in the condo and it left fleas. Also, please note that Hurricane Nicole somewhat affected this area on our last 2 or 3 days with light rain and strong winds. Anyone who knows anything about storms knows that little insects know these things are coming and seek higher ground. Also, please note that we have 3 dogs at home that we went through hell to find a dog sitter for so we could leave on vacation. If dog hair somehow got into the condo from us, it’s because it was on our things. I can wash my clothes 3 times back to back and I will still have dog hair on them. I’d also like it to be known that I would own up to anything I broke/damaged and would happily pay for the item(s). As far as the couch stains, I would happily pay the $300 for the cleaning even though it’s the smallest couch. We thought this was going to be the greatest vacation since it would be our last. But it very suddenly turned into our worst. We will never, ever stay in a vacation home that is run by Shannyn Stevenson in the future.

Our condo is just steps from the beach and offers convenient access to Pompano Joe’s for a relaxing lunch or dinner.

It’s all about the view! The Gulf views are absolutely breathtaking. The kids love the pool and the easy walk to the beach, while I love being able to relax on the balcony, watch the kids at the pool, and still soak in the beautiful beach scenery. Gulf-front views at a Gulf-view rental rate!
