Great place, we’ll be back
Kids enjoyed playing at the Riverside Park playground before and after meals. Quick and easy access to Monarch. We will be back next year for more fun and relaxation. Location and price of this place are unbeatable. Host is quick to respond to questions.

Salida weekend getaway
Dvora’s place was perfect for my husband and I. It’s a great old charming home with a nice backyard with a view of Tenderfoot Mtn. The location is a couple of blocks from shops and restaurants yet is on a very quiet street. Check in/out was easy. Dvora responded quickly to messages. We will be back! Thank you!

Amazing property all around
The property is adorable. It felt like staying in a little art museum. The artwork is extraordinary. The property is well adorned with all of the necessary essentials plus. The location can't be beat. It is on a quiet street one block from the river and about three blocks from downtown. A plethora of shopping and dining within close walking distance. The grocery store was also close. We had a vehicle but never had to drive in town since everything was so close. We did drive to Monarch to ski, which was a short drive. There was a large back yard with bikes available. The washer and dryer, along with detergent, was very useful. The fireplace in the front room made everything cozy and warm. There are no cons to this property at all. A very strong 10 out of 10.

Great location near Salida downtown
We had a great stay at this small cottage near downtown Salida. Walking distance to everywhere. Across the street from the police station and an EV charging station, so it's very safe, secure and quiet. The unit was very comfortable and had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. Would definitely book again.

Great place, convenient for exploring
Our family of four stayed here in early January for a ski trip to Monarch. The small house is as advertised, and worked well for us. It is clean, thoughtfully outfitted, and comfortable. Parking is easy, and it was nice to be able to walk to the downtown businesses and to a small park and playground by the river. The owner was friendly and helpful.

Honeymoon in Colorado
My wife and I took a delayed honeymoon visit to Salida and stayed in this great little place! It was close to everything which made for a nice walk everyday to go to town and the river park. We loved our visit and look forward to staying here again in the future!

Great place to stay in downtown Salida
Had a wonderful time in Salida. The place was spacious, clean, and inviting. The location is walkable to most places around the downtown area. Loved watching the surfers at the park, getting milkshakes at the soda fountain, enjoyed browsing the art galleries, and enjoyed eating at several places downtown. Would book this place again in a heartbeat.

Wonderful vacation home
This place is in the absolute best location for a family to enjoy Salida. This home had plenty of room for a family of four, and included all that we needed for our stay. We brought a twin inflatable bed for the entry room so our teenagers had their own space. The backyard provided us with the perfect view to enjoy the fireworks from S mountain. We certainly want to return in the future.

Comfortable accomodations
The place was comfortable for me and my 2 adult sons. We brought an air bed for the third sleeping spot. It was very comfortable and we had plenty of room for ski clothes and boots. The laundry facilities were excellent. The heater was perfect for drying out wet gloves. The location is across from the cop shop and there was lots of traffic going to and fro. We felt safe. We walked to the river and I wish I had brought my fishing pole as I saw trout everywhere. The first night our parking spot was full of snow but it melted quickly. No complaints. Davora was quick to respond to a couple of questions.

Christmas in Salida
This property was perfect for a family Christmas vacation spot. We were within walking distance of downtown Salida and only a 25-minute drive to Monarch Mountain. The place was a perfect size for a family of 4. It had all the essentials for cooking in, playing games-they provided so many fun and interesting games our entire family could play. It was very clean, warm, and cozy and the owners were extremely responsive. We will be back here in the future!

Great location
No AC but opened windows and cooled off nicely. Comfortable bed. Weird thing though. The owner accused us of bringing a dog which we would never. We think a couple of hairs may have travelled in on a blanket we brought. So I guess, be sure you dont bring anything like that because they are sticklers!

Ideal Location
We loved our stay in Salida. I don’t think we could have asked for a better location so close to the river and great restaurants and shops. The house was charming, filled with a lot of character and very comfortable. We didn’t do a lot of cooking but the kitchen seemed well stocked. We will definitely be back!

A little gem in Salida
This was our first trip to Salida and Dvora’s place made it the perfect trip. Her adorable little house left is needing nothing and the location was walking distance from everything. We were absolutely thrilled and will definitely rebook when returning to the area!

We moved to Salida to be near our grandchildren and to enjoy the outdoors. We are lovers of Argentine tango, so we built a dance studio here, and teach classes to build a tango dance community. Dvora is a well known artist. She paints in our new studio attached to the dance hall. You will see her work on the walls of your vacation home.
Steve is a retired ski instructor. He enjoys Monarch Mountain Ski resort which is an easy 25 minutes away. Our grandkids love having a private ski instructor.

Why they chose this property

We saw the potential in this 100 year old brick row house by the river. Renovating is like a three dimensional art project. It has been fun restoring the old wood moldings, keeping the charm, making it comfortable and beautiful.

We love it here so much and want to share it with our friends, family, visiting tango dancers, and you.

What makes this property unique

Salida has developed the trail system that begins 2 minutes from our door. You can wake early to hike or jump on your bike and head up 'S' Mountain'. The view of the valley is spectacular. Afterwords, walk to brunch by the river or sip coffee at one of our great coffee shops.

Salida is quite flat and delightful to see by bicycle. We have 2 very good adult mountain bikes for your use. They have quick release seats to adjust to your height.

We have supplied our guest house with several bottles of wine from our wonderful local winery, Vino Salida, for purchase. Check out their daily wine tasting.
There are several hot springs near Salida, and a hot springs pool in town They are perfect for after skiing or hiking. Mount Princeton Hot Springs and Salida Hot Springs Pool are great for kids as well as adults.

Riverside Park, which is just around the corner, has a playground, a climbing wall, amphitheater, and many summer events: live music, carnival, dancing,etc.

You will want to visit Culture Clash, a wonderful art gallery which features jewelry and art. Our daughter, Nicole has her jewelry studio there. Her work, as well as other local artists is worth checking out.
