Tranquil, quiet, private amazing Trout stream, beautiful pasture views, all the amenities you need for weekend country getaway. Clean . Nice bathrooom. Garage is a bonus on cold Mornings
A friend and I stayed here for a weekend and had a great time. Location is very close proximity to some excellent streams. The house has everything you need and great views. We even went down to the stream at sunset one day and caught a few trout there. We would definitely stay here again!
Great location and beautiful surroundings. Very quiet and private. Perfect for relaxing. We enjoyed walking along and fishing in the stream. Short drive to Viroqua and it’s quaint downtown. Definitely recommend it.
There really isn’t a way to translate the topography of the area with photos. It’s an amazing area. Very clean place and a quiet place to unwind. Would definitely recommend it.
We had an incredible stay at this wonderful property which combined a peaceful natural experience with every amenity we could reasonably expect at a vacation home. We enjoyed fishing in the trout stream located just steps away and spending time chatting by the grill while drinking a beer cooled by the frosty mugs the host thoughtfully provided. We're scouting our calendars for an opportunity to return.
Our group had a fantastic weekend at the property. House was clean and well appointed. Grounds were beautiful, good views, great fishing. Would love to come back.
The cabin was so clean and perfect upon arriving. The location is beautiful, the accommodations were perfect for my family of 4. The hosts had coffee and creamer, sparkling waters and condiments in the clean frig. Beds were comfortable, lots of good lighting and books about the area. The fly fishing was great in the Bad Axe River in the front of the house. We would definitely stay here again!
We had a great stay. The property is well maintained and the view is amazing. Pro tip: don’t panic when about to cross the creek it’s not that deep. Thanks so much for opening your property to us!
What a great cabin. Tons of space, had everything we needed and more. Wifi was a nice luxury since there is almost no cell service in the region. Cabin was very clean. The very generous check in and check out times were great and really made our trip go smoothly since we traveled with a dog. The mowed path along the river was appreciated for running the dog. Fishing in the Driftless is amazing, pulled a monster brown out of the stream in front of the cabin.
Only caution would be the open stair cases if you're traveling with small children.
We travel to the Driftless area several times a year since 2017 as a family getaway and this property has become one that we will return to without hesitation. Isolated enough but an easy 15-20 minute drive to Viroqua if you need anything. The owners are very responsive and helpful since booking through checkout. The property is as listed with beautiful views and nature sounds. Looking forward to future visits at this property & exploring the area more! Thank you again for sharing!
The cabin was clean and better than the pictures! It exceeded our expectations. The location was great for what we needed. Kevin was easy and fast to communicate with. A hidden gem on the Frohock.
We had a wonderful long weekend stay at this property. The hosts were great to work with and answered our questions promptly. They even mowed in a walking path around the trout stream on the property for easier access. I had a sizeable brown trout in the net within 10 minutes of walking from the house. The property is better than the photos appear. You won't regret booking this one - we hope to be back. Being able to bring our 3 dogs with us was a HUGE plus!
