We had a fantastic time at this cabin. It was the perfect location near the village, but still felt secluded and surrounded by nature. The cabin was beautiful and was the perfect cozy getaway for my husband and I and our pup!
Nice cabin in the woods. It was well stocked and had comfortable beds and furnishings. It warmed up quickly with the unplanned cold and snow.
We came for a wedding nearby and will return when it is better weather. Fishing was good nearby.
We spent a lovely couple of days at the cabin! It is exactly as described- warm and cozy. It was nicely kept and the location was superb, we loved seeing all the deer on the property! Communion was A+!
We just needed to get away from the city and be out in nature. This cabin was perfect! It was very clean and cozy. The property manager was very easy to get in touch with and was very helpful with suggestions of fun things to do or see in the area. Will definitely stay here again.
We wanted to get away for our Anniversary and the Porcupine Cabin was perfect. We enjoyed watching the deer cross the property each day and used the front porch to relax daily. Our hosts were great and even told us of events that were happening while we were there.
The neighborhood/location is great, quiet and close to the Village. We hope to come back again soon!
The property was better than advertised. The cabin was fantastic. The location was ideal for our needs. The place was very clean, spacious, and had all the amenities that we needed. The communication with the hosts was excellent, their response time was immediate. The check-in process was very simple. We would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend this place.
We had a great time! We all enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Brad and Rachel were easy to communicate with. The refrigerator wasn't working and they came out and determined it needed to replaced. They kindly issued us a partial refund. We definitely plan on returning! 😊
Brought our 7 year old for his first mountain trip. Waze gave us some issues getting to the house, but once we figured out that the random dirt road was definitely NOT a good option we were able to locate. The turn off is near the True Value -- don't turn any sooner.
We woke up to deer, wild turkey, and an amazing assortment of birds in the yard. Our son was in love. He uses an Audobon app to identify and catalog birds, and it eas pretty amazing for him. Good location relative to Mammoth Cave.
Cabin itself is small but lovely. For a family of 3 it was perfect. Loved tbst the fire pit and fireplace did not require wood. Very much appreciated the keurig and k cup options. Beds were comfy. Open wjndows meabt gorgeous weather for sleeping.
Check in and check out were easy. Host was in contact several times. Overall it was a great spot for a small family to get away for a bjt.
Only note I's give is that the road up the hill to the cabin really needs a 4WD. We made it in my crossover, but it made my husband nervous because the incline is a bit steep and the gravel isnt tight packed. Not a reason to avoid, just something to be aware of.
Splendid cabin at high altitude (8500'). Fresh mountain air with a hint of pine.
Perfect family getaway in southwest UT. Halfway between Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks (about an hour to each) in tiny Duck Creek Village. Short drive to many other local Utah features - hiking, slot canyons, sandy dunes, etc. Private lot with the cabin separated from surrounding cabins by the pine trees. We were there 3rd week of October. Sunny weather all week with lows in the upper 30s and highs in upper 50s. Gas fire pit on front porch made for memorable conversations on the deck after sunset.
Comfy beds. Plenty of warmth for the chilly mountain nights provided by bedding, a gas log fireplace, a small gas furnace, and several small space heaters. Well stocked kitchen with good quality pots, pans, utensils, dishes, etc. Handy pantry in the washer/dryer closet behind the kitchen with plenty of room for a week's worth of groceries. Speaking of which, there isn't a grocery store in Duck Creek Village, but there is a convenience store at lone gas station. Nearest grocery store is about 45 minutes away in Panguitch or Cedar City, so plan accordingly. We bought groceries on the way through Panguitch to the cabin.
The road to the cabin is dirt/gravel - not paved and rather steep traveling from the meadow up to the cabin. 4WD is recommended, but not required. My friends made it up the hill in a FWD Toyota minivan. Road was dry and dusty during my time there, otherwise, if wet, would have been challenging for vehicles without 4WD/AWD.
