About this property
The Cloister Bungalow in Walker in the Hills
2 bedroom 1 bath downstairs suite of the main house, The Cloister. The suite has its own separate entrance from the main house. 3700 feet up in the Blue Ridge mountains with a rumbling creek that runs along the side of the property. This is also a sister property to The Dogwood Cottage in Walker in the Hills , right next door on the same property, allowing for larger family gatherings. Very private, quiet area just far enough from town but close enough for a quick trip if needed. The space Downstairs bungalow in the main house with a full kitchen. 1 queen bed in each bedroom. Please note the bathroom is in the master bedroom therefore if you have more than two guests they will have to enter the master to use the bathroom. Free WiFi and TV with Roku, NO CABLE TV. There is a creek that you will have to cross to get to The Cloister Bungalow. It is very shallow and very safe. I do it everyday, multiple times a day. 🙂 Other things to note There are bears and other wildlife up here in the mountains. It is not unusual to see a Momma bear with some Cubs. They normally run away but please be aware of your surroundings. 😁

This place has everything you could need. It's decorated so warmly, I felt like I was at home. It's spacious enough for two couples. The property is gorgeous. We can't wait to go back!
This properry is just lovely! Cozy, quiet and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Nestled in the trees with a rushing creek right outside to lull you to sleep. Christy is a wonderful hostess. We'll definitely stay again.
We stayed here with an event in Maggie Valley which was not far. We loved being able to come back to a nice quiet area for rest. Felt very safe or fur baby loved exploring outside around house. We will come back to explore more of Waynesville area. The owner was very helpful and communicated with us very easily.

Why they chose this property
This was my grandparents property and I grew up here in the summers. I was finally able to move here permanently and I’m blessed to call this my home. It’s a beautiful, peaceful, quiet neighborhood. Lots of places to hike and the Blue Ridge Parkway is just around the corner.
What makes this property unique
Wide open spaces with a beautiful creek that can be hiked, played in and listened to.
