This sweet 2-bedroom cabin with incredible views is what you have been looking for. Sip your morning coffee to the gentle glow of the morning as you are serenaded by birds and the Thompson River. Drop a line in the river, or BBQ for your loved ones as they await their meal on the fully enclosed porch. Sleep under the gentle stars and sounds of the night. This is your true mountain getaway.

Located approximately 5 minutes to the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park and 10 minutes from downtown Estes Park, Shemara River Cabin is part of 13 cabins at Idlewild by the River that were the original workforce housing for the workers that built the infrastructure for the National Park. Enjoy Wifi, smart TVs, and a Keurig Coffee maker. There is a community hot tub and a large shoreline for fly fishing or river recreation.

This is a new listing for us but book with confidence as we offer our love it or money-back guarantee. If upon check-in you do not like the cabin for any reason or feel that anything was misrepresented in the listing, we will give you a full refund with no questions asked.

We also own the neighboring property called River Spruce so feel free to see our reviews there. We hope you will love this gorgeous classic mountain cabin.

Great weekend by the river

Excellent cabin and community of cabins. A+ across the board. Beautiful riverside setting for enjoying the river and mountains. We could hear the river from the cabin and prime sitting/relaxing areas on the river bank are only 25 yards away. Perfect.

Sweet Spot

It was the beauty of God’s creation that made a huge impact! Was a quiet place to relax and do some fishing. The Big Thompson River was higher and faster than we had ever seen. Such amazing views! The sights and sounds were impressive! The cabin was more than adequate for our needs. And impressed by the cleanliness of it!
