About this property

School Bus Olympic Peninsula PNW Adventure

Your family will never forget the time they "stayed in a bus" This memorable tiny home is anything but ordinary. A 2005 school bus traveled 42 states before settling down in the beautiful Pacific Northwest to share adventures with you. Experience life in a Skoolie. Play unique games, read, draw/color, snuggle up and watch a movie, play on the swings, cornhole, disc golf or other fun games in the field. This is a place to re-energize yourself and/or reconnect with loved ones.

Adventure awaits! This space is perfect for individuals, couples or families to have a fun, relaxing and have a unique one-of-a-kind experience you will never forget. A quiet space to reconnect with a change of pace from the busy life in this cozy space. Roast some deluxe marshmallows over the outside firepit, relax on the swings, read, catch up on some Netflix, play in and outdoor games or just take a break throw on a robe and relax with coffee, tea or cocoa you deserve it. You may wake up to birds chirping, deer and bunnies in the yard depending on the time of the year.

Traveling the Olympic Peninsula? This is a perfect stop along your route. We are a little over an hour from Sea-Tac Airport and are the gateway to the Olympics and famous 101 loop.

Conveniently located right off the 101 freeway, you will drive down a private driveway where you will park in front of the wood parking curb. Put your goodies in the transport bucket, go under the charming arch and take a short walk (176 ft) past the house (owners house is on property but property is split and private) a beautiful lighted pathway. This 40ft x 8 feet bus provides 320 square feet and it's all yours with 1/2 acre.

We have a ring on the building by parking are only.

The bus has:

**Private bedroom with a queen bed and a desk full of art supplies waiting for your creativity or a remote workspace. Air conditioner for the warmer months and heaters with extra blankets for colder months. T.V, books to read, dresser and comfy robes.

**Bathroom has full shower with separate toilet room.

**Bunkroom has coloring station, bracelet making, games, portable AC unit, hanging clothes rack and cubbies for storage. There is a T.V on the bottom bunk.

**Kitchen has large refrigerator, gas stove top and oven, microwave, Keurig coffee station with specialty creamer, tea and cocoa, toaster and all the cooking utensils/supplies you would need including basic cooking oil, seasoning salt, and regular salt and pepper.

The cutest little fireplace is next to the dining table and in the colder months warms you up quick! **More games in the game drawer hidden in the seat. Let the kids sit in the drivers seat, not to worry all safe and if they hit the horn once don't be upset :0) so hard to resist. It would also be an appropriate time to sing "The Wheels on the Bus go round and round" if you have younger kids.

**Outdoor BBQ on the back of the bus with picnic table and umbrella. Propane fireplace nestled in the corner for the deluxe smores we have provided for you. Also a seating area for those that would rather sit back and watch the fun.

Enjoy the quiet, play creative games, do art and explore. We have so many unique games for you from Ispy, trivia, impossible puzzles, bracelet making, hook and ring, shoot the moon, busy board and more. You can always check out challenging escape room puzzles during your stay for extra fun! There is a chalkboard poster for you to create a masterpiece on. Outside has cornhole, an assortment of swings, gravel play area with toys, disc golf (with discs), football, giant tic Tac toe, ladder ball, giant Jenga, outdoor creative board and more.

Around the Olympic Peninsula Loop there are many sights to see, waterfalls, hikes, National Parks, hot springs and more. Located near the High Steel Bridge which is the tallest bridge in Washington State. This is a special stay on your route. Also minutes from parks, winery, casino, meat and cheese shop, a Race Track free for observing on most days (you have to check this out!) with fast go karts, a popular disc golf course as well as regular golf course. Vance Creek Railriders is also a fun experience your family will never forget and a u-pick blueberry farm just two exits away.

Cute getaway!
The property was very accessible and fit 4 adults quite well. It was nice and warm with the heater on and beds were very comfortable. The only complaint was the wood stove. The wind was blowing the smoke back into the bus. Maybe a rotating exhaust shield on the exterior top counteract the wind. Otherwise, no complaints! Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Nice bus
Really cool bus that has been transformed into an RV. Everything is in good shape, clean and new. Everything worked. 3 flat screen TV's, though we only needed the one. The description/photos didn't really indicate that it's really in the house's back yard (though in its own little area) not alone off in the woods. Biggest strike? There is no hot tub, though the vrbo description clearly states that there is. My wife and I don't get to take these little getaways often, and I actually filter the search results to show me only properties with hot tubs. With only one night away from home & kids, we try to live it up as much as possible--so not finding the promised hot tub there was a pretty big disappointment. Everything else was great, and the host was very nice.

This place is a MUST stay!
Oh gosh from the second that we parked in the designated parking spot we were impressed! There is this adorable gravel walkway that has pretty stringed lights all along it with a nice wooded area when you look to the right. They offer a fancy cart to place belongings on to easily move them to the bud from the car. Outside they have lots of games and family fun activities and a fire pit that provides plenty of privacy because it’s tucked back behind the trees. When you walk inside the bus it’s stunning! Very welcoming and home like feeling. The most adorable set ups throughout the bus and cute guides on how things (Appliances, water temps) work. The beds are VERY comfortable. The bedroom looks out into the forest so bird watching was fantastic. I never imagined a bus could provide so much comfort and relaxation. We will 100% be renting the One Day Bus Again! Also I’ll add that the host was amazing! She was VERY prompt on answering our questions and super nice.

The One Day bus was adorable. My family enjoyed the novelty and adventure of the bus. This family has built a really special and crafty space. Everything was easily explained. Totally memorable!

We love adventure and to have fun. We have created our space for families to have an unforgettable time together and to reconnect. Our family of four is on the property but the back 1/2 acre is yours and private.

On our travels around the US we picked up some great ideas and brought all those ideas and fun back to create something our family would enjoy if we were going on a family/couples adventure. Its also a quiet space for individuals to have some peace and time to themselves.

Why they chose this property

We live on a family compound so we know all our neighbors and this is a great, fun and safe place! We are minutes from the freeway too.

What makes this property unique

We have added special touches to everything so you are always seeing something fun and creative. We wanted to be different so the fun you see in the bus is different and our of the ordinary. We consider this an experience for our guests.
