No large parties or weddings, no gatherings of more than 20 people. This Sourdough Canyon lodge sits at the base of the Gallatin Mountains on the pristine waters of Sourdough Creek. The lodge is just 10 minutes from downtown Bozeman, Montana, 20 minutes from Bridger Bowl and world class trout fishing on the Gallatin, Madison and Yellowstone Rivers.

This luxury vacation lodge is an ideal one of a kind setting for a family or group vacation. This spectacular home along with the majority of the stunning furniture and custom cabinetry was built by the previous owner with loving attention to detail.
Nestled in secluded Sourdough Canyon, surrounded by old growth cottonwood and aspen groves, you will enjoy wildlife from every room, a giant back deck with sitting and dining areas. But, there is beautiful Sourdough Creek on the property that has some great fish. Be sure to observe fishing license requirements.
The lodge sits just a few hundred yards from Bozeman Creek Trailhead which boasts miles of groomed cross country ski trails in winter and the best mountain biking and hiking in Gallatin Valley in the summer.

This lodge has 2 levels to maximize function and privacy. On the main level the Great Room enjoys nearly floor to ceiling southern facing windows with gorgeous light, a two story river rock fireplace which is gas log and remote operated, and leather furniture for relaxing by the fire or enjoying a movie. The large kitchen was designed with the chef in mind, with a 4 burner gas oven, ample counter space and every necessary appliance so guests may prepare gourmet meals with ease. Adjoining the Great Room and Kitchen is the Family Room with another TV and french doors opening onto the deck. One bedroom with a full bathroom is on the main level with views of aspens and Sourdough Creek. Completing the main level is a generous mud room with plenty of storage for both winter and summer equipment and top of the line energy efficient washer and dryer.

Upstairs the master suite includes a large walk-in closet, king size bed, flat screen TV, windows overlooking the creek, double shower head two person shower and giant tub with built in jets.

The other upstairs rooms consist of one suite with a king size bed and views of the entire Bridger Mountain range and the Bunk Room which sleeps 4 in handcrafted bunk beds. These rooms share a bathroom with double sinks and a large tub and shower.
This home comes with a property manager nearby to meet all your needs. She can provide you with a fully stocked kitchen upon your arrival and linen changes throughout your stay for an extra charge. Don't be afraid to ask her for anything else you may require!

The adjacent shop was remodeled into an amazing high end game room. It includes a pool table, a foosball table, a kitchenette with a bar, an entertainment area with tv, a poker table, dart board, full size shuffleboard, kid's play area, basketball pop a shot, and its own bathroom.

Spring Break in Bozeman
We had two families with 3 kids total. The house is truly better than the photos, with all the amenities you might want or need. We enjoyed the game room and all the generous living areas. Beds are very comfortable. This is a great location for the Bozeman area — it’s far enough out from town that it feels secluded, but close to everything.

Absolutely Gorgeous Home
This home exceeded all of our expectations. We booked this home for 8 days over Christmas with our adult children. The house was designed so well that everyone had their own room and each room was very comfortable. The game room was absolutely amazing and our family loved using the sauna. The location was ideal for us being only a few minutes from Bozeman, less then an hour drive to Big Sky and only 30-40 minutes to skiing at Bridger Bowl. If we ever come back to Bozeman, we would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Amazing cabin for a Bozeman stay
My friends, brothers and I had a great guys trip at this cabin. Very spacious, amazing place. Loved the back deck and outdoor dining with the beautiful Aspens surrounding the property. Appreciated the fire pit stocked with logs. Very private. Close and convenient to Bozeman and surrounding activities. We were so busy hiking and fishing, we didn’t get enough time to enjoy the cabin itself. But it was truly amazing. It would be my first choice spot for my next Bozeman stay.

A Place for Everyone
This lodge is one of the best places I have ever stayed at. It was exceptionally clean, homey, comfortable and spacious! Sue is a fantastic host who cares about your vacation. The house had everything and you could tell there has been a lot of thought into making the guests comfortable. The yard space, sauna and river made for some great outdoor time and allowed for a very competitive volleyball game. The 3000 sq ft gameroom is gorgeous and worth the stay alone!! It is perfect for kids of all ages and adults. Thank you for the stay and allowing my family to make some unforgettable memories. We look forward to returning!!

Fantastic house with all the amenities ever needed. The house is clean, well maintained, stocked with all you necessities including dishes, pots, pans, etc. Even the fire wood is chopped and stacked for the fire place, fire pit, and sauna. This is our second stay at this house. We have never been in a more comfortable, accommodating house. Sue is wonderful and responds to all your questions and concerns within a few minutes. We will return for a third stay!

Unbelievable home and experience
The photos on this listing just don’t do this property justice. The home is absolutely stunning as well as the surrounding property. To top it all off the interior of the home is not only immaculate, but well thought out and appointed and every creature comfort you could imagine is available. Wait until you lay your eyes on the gorgeous game room. It is unreal. The owner was so excellent in her communication and accommodating any little request we had and it was so appreciated. The beds were so super comfy, and it says a lot coming from our picky daughter! Honestly, we just can’t say enough about this property. We cannot wait to go back. Thank you, Sue and family for sharing your beautiful home with us.

We stayed for the month and it wasn’t long enough. Felt like home right away. The home is stunning and the setting unmatched. So many things to do close by, but just hanging out is so relaxing and fun. Plenty of wildlife to view. This house has it all, and then some. The property manager is incredibly helpful and responsive.

Best family vacation ever
It was my 80th birthday celebration. We chose Montana because I have some family history near there. We arrived expecting a lovely cottage type home with plenty of sleeping space. What we found was a charming old west family lodge with modern top of the line appliances, a brand new fabulous game room, a beautiful gurgling stream, 5 acres of property to explore, trails, easy access to the city of Bozeman and no end to the options of things to do. This home is full of history and throwbacks to the early west atmosphere. We hated to leave! The property manager was helpful, immediate in responding, knowledgeable and personable. And the property is very dog friendly so even our grand-dogs had a wonderful vacation. Besides the property itself, highlights were Yellowstone, a trip to Raptlje to discover some family history, lunch in Columbus at a quaint all American restaurant which you would have to see to believe! (Each sandwich on the menu was named after a president with one surprise), a friendly museum staff eager to help us in our fact finding mission, the Rodeo, and dining on top notch steaks, both beef and bison! The downtown Bozeman area is delightful. We hated to leave. Happy Birthday to me!

Amazing Vacation
Sourdough Canyon Lodge was a dream to stay for our Bozeman vacation!!! The lodge is spacios, clean, and just beautiful. The family had a lot of fun playing in the game room and being outside around the peaceful creek. Sue was a wonderful host and had everything we needed at the lodge to make our stay comfortable. She made the check in process easy and even followed up with us to make sure we didn’t need anything else. I highly recommend this lodge for your next family vacation.

Awesome Getaway for Family in Bozeman!!!
This place is awesome. Sue has thought of everything to provide a family experience in Montana. My family of 5, with 3 teenage boys, had an incredible time. Huge game room with every amenity imaginable, private back yard with fire pit and creek, even an outdoor sauna!!! The place is so nice, feels so luxurious while holding on to the rugged, outdoor personality of Montana! Close enough to Bozeman to enjoy the amenities of the city, but far enough to see the stars and enjoy wildlife in the backyard. The memories we created by the camp fire and having game room Olympics were incredible! Highly recommend this property for your next family getaway!

Family Fun
We stayed Christmas 2022 and fell in love with this home. We wanted to experience it in the summer and think we loved it even more. The yard/back deck area was perfect for outdoor fun and dining. An extra bonus this trip was an addition of the most beautiful game room you’ll ever see! We took a day trip to the Yellowstone Hot Springs ~ approx 70 miles and so worth the trip. Another great trip in the books! Just a fabulous home!

Best VRBO ever rented
Photos dont due this beautiful property justice. The craftsmanship is outstanding and equipped with everything you could ever need. The attached garage was great, 3 cans of bear spray were also provided for solo walks and dry wood for the sauna and bone fire were much appreciated. Game room was so nice and hardly used because we loved being outside. The aspen tree’s in the yard are so beautiful and fragrant. Rent you will not be disappointed. Sue the manager was so top notch. We will rent again if we ever get back to Bozeman.

I have been in Bozeman for over 20 years and visited the 20 years prior to final relocation. I am also a Real Estate Broker since relocating to Bozeman in 2000. I love to fish, hike, cycle, and think Bozeman is the best place around. So many opportunities for families.

Why they chose this property

This home was built in the perfect location, just 10 minutes drive to downtown Bozeman and 20 minutes to the Gallatin River and Bridger Bowl Ski Area, the lodge is secluded, private and serene. The previous owner built the home and is a master wood worker. You can see evidence of his work throughout this beautiful property

What makes this property unique

Property location provides ample opportunities for hiking, fishing - including serious Blue Ribbon fishing nearby - cycling, hiking, ... Just sitting on the deck in the summer sipping wine and listening to the creek is a nice way to relax at the end of the day.
