The cottage is very pleasant, clean and well-organized. Christine has thought of everything including a binder to help you plan your stay. It is decorated very tastefully, not garage sale furniture. We will return to this cottage.
We loved staying at the Cottage Hide-away and hope to return. Place was very comfortable, kitchen was well stocked (including spices, a few condiments, and some snacks and drinks), and the location was just minutes away from everything we wanted to do in Fort Bragg. Christine responded quickly when we had a question. Beautiful, peaceful setting in the Redwoods.
Our stay was amazing, it was clean, so quiet and close to town! The host even made us cookies and left them on the doorstep on our 2nd night. Amazing!!!!
They were very accommodating and the little treats and stickers were really appreciated. Super nice little house on the main houses property to rent. Great for small family. Our son loved it
The place is well appointed with everything we needed. The host was super responsive and friendly.
Nice location tucked into the trees but a quick jaunt to Fort Bragg for anything you need.
Not sure if it was a common thing but a cute family of 5 deer hung out in the large yard for a few hours each day we were there.
Very private and quiet. Lots of natural light from skylights and big windows looking out at the surrounding meadow and redwood trees. Appliances, floors, windows, etc. were spotless. Great parking in front and easy access to town when needed. This is a well-maintained and run property that deserves 10 stars.
This was the first time we rented a VRBO and my family and I could not be happier we did. The location is wonderful and so close to town and the house is cute, clean and comfortable. Christine was extremely accommodating and answered any and all questions we had. We had a great time with our 1 year old and he loved being able to run around the yard. We look forward to coming back!
We had a wonderful time at this rental. Christine’s delightful touches were evident everywhere and the house met all our needs. My husband slept better here than he does at home; of course we were on vacation. The location was perfect, close to town but far enough away so that it was really quiet. This was my husband’s first experience with a rental home and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Hopefully we can do a return trip sometime.
Host communication was excellent!! Notes throughout the house were helpful, and snack were a very nice welcome! The place was better equipped than other places I’ve stayed. Literally everything you need! Minutes from town. Check out instructions and what is expected of you were 5 stars!!
We stayed here for three nights. What a great place. Christine is a great host, very available if you need her. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need and there are even snacks left for the guests to have! The bed is great, very comfortable and there are plenty of books on hand to read if you forget yours. The house is very, very clean. We had a great stay walking the beaches of Ft Bragg and enjoying our time away from home. This rental is a home away from home! We would stay here again no problem!! It is very quiet too! Thanks Christine for a great stay!!!
The cottage was very clean, and the setting in the Redwoods was beautiful. The kitchen was well equipped. Many extras were provided such as coffee, butter and snacks. We saw deer every morning in the yard. Outside, you can hear some highway traffic, but inside it is quiet. The hosts were great with good food and activity recommendations.
Me and my family loved our stay here and if I had it to do over, I would have like to have extended our time here. The property is situated in a quiet setting with many attractions within a short drive, as well as conveniences like restaurants and grocery stores nearby. The home was clean, very well stocked, and extremely comfortable for our family of 4. The host provided many thoughtful touches and communication was excellent. We enjoyed having the puzzles and games to play together in the evening and some outside space for our youngest to run around. The W/D was also so handy. It had everything we needed and more. Highly recommend staying here.
The cottage was the absolute perfect base for our first father-son adventure with our two little guys. The spacious, tree-lined yard was a hit, and the trampoline and sky swing kept them entertained for hours.
Inside, the cottage was cozy and inviting, with everything sparkling clean. The amenities were well-thought-out, including a convenient Keurig coffee maker, making our stay incredibly comfortable. We also enjoyed some fun challenges with the cool puzzles provided. The cottage felt very private and quiet, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The convenient location was a bonus, making it easy to explore the area. This is easily one of the best rentals we've ever experienced and wholeheartedly deserves a 10 out of 10 rating.
The cottage location was perfect for easy access to downtown fort Bragg without actually being in the thick of it. Its super easy to get to but once you’re on the property you feel like you’re miles into the redwoods and hidden from the world.
We stayed with young kids and Christine went above and beyond to set out toys they loved and to share a detailed guide of family friendly activities. The cottage was stocked with everything we could need, and enough coffee to get our days started smoothly. Having access to laundry in the unit was also so convenient. Truly felt like a home away from home and I would definitely stay here again.
This property was LOVELY. Clean bright and funtional. Private enough to enjoy cozy cottage. But, big enough to take a walk through redwood grove. Host was delightful and fun. Office space for remote work with pleanty of plugs everywhere.Well stocked and fully functional with everthing one might need in the Kitchen. Morning coffee and afternoon reading on the deck was very inspirational and grounding. Shower was spacious! ADA friendly place. It was a great place to heal and relax after knee surgery. Well worth it - Can't wait to do it again! The vacation not the sugery.
Two of us stayed just to relax for the weekend. Everything you could need, over thirty spices, snacks, all the convenience of home with extras. When we had a problem with the printer Chris came over to help. The heater worked great, shower was huge. Got to see deer. Plug ins everywhere to charge everything. Screens on the windows! Always need these in fort Bragg mendo area and a LOT of places don’t have them. They didn’t expect us to do any cleaning or anything but just rest. Super nice!
