I can’t say enough about what a wonderful place this is. We felt instantly at home. We spent a week here with our adult children, so the layout of the home was perfect. The primary suite on the main level with two generously sized bedrooms with king size beds and a very beautiful bathroom on the top floor. Even our dog was very comfortable in the space. The morning sunrise also did not disappoint. The kitchen had plenty of cookware available to use which was great since we took advantage of the grill and had several meals in the home. I could go on and on about all the great things about this home. It was a great location close to Murphys for wine tasting and shopping buy also very conveniently located to Bear Valley ski resort. The owners were very communicative and quick to respond to any questions we had. Would highly recommend staying here and I’m sure we will be back.
We had a wonderful stay. Enjoyed the morning sunrise, staring at the mountains with coffee in hand. Clean, comfortable, and perfect for a quick getaway.
This home was spectacular! It's right off the highway but you feel like you're in a cloud and the views, oh goodness - the views!! Our 2.5 years old loved the open space (we live in a townhouse) and was running all over the place! Our dog was right at home in front of the fire place every night and enjoyes sunning himself on the beautiful new deck! He also LOVED the dog bed and pet blankets made available, he was one happy dog! The bed was comfortable, it was just us, so we didn't use the upstairs bedrooms, but it was a nice touch having 3 king sized beds. The primary bath, was so fantastic, well, that's an understatement. We probably could have lived happily in the bathroom alone. My husband will be talking about heated floors for the rest of our lives. We will definitely plan to come back and we'll hopefully share this with some friends and family! the place
Such a nice house! It was beautifully designed and had everything we needed with lots of thoughtful touches. The views and the clear skies for stargazing at night were the best. We’d love to stay here again.
We were in town for a wedding in Murphy’s and pleased to find a place that allowed dogs larger than 50 lbs. The cabin ended up being more than we had hoped for. A great place to get away.
Beautiful, new home, with incredible views ...clean,& comfortable. Hosts, Darren, and Jackie were helpful, and so accommodating. They went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met!
Beautiful location and cabin for a vacation. In addition to an amazing view the home is newly renovated, comfortable and roomy. All the amenities you could ask for including a wood burning stove stocked with wood. Centrally located and remote enough to enjoy the quiet of the mountains. The hosts are friendly and attentive. Our family will be back.
The view was amazing! Two stories of windows looking right up the Stanislaus River valley.
The location was perfect. It’s just off the highway but back far enough that it’s completely secluded. We didn’t do the walk, but it is definitely walking distance to the Red Apple to pickup some breakfast goods (we drove! - 2 minutes). It is just North of Murphys and South of Arnold so easy access to both towns.
The house was well stocked; coffee, games and wood for the stove. New appliances and plenty of cookware etc. We dined in 2 out of 3 nights and had no problems whipping up dinner. The bathrooms were huge (also all new fixtures and appliances), heated floors definitely took the mountain chill off of things.
I’m a huge fan of wood stoves and went through quite a bit of wood during the stay. The stove got the two upstairs bedrooms toasty for the night and kept the common area really warm as well.
Even Wiley., our 14 yo Westie had a great time. Dog bed near the wood stove was his home for the entire stay.
There are plenty of winter activities in the surrounding area but from some quick research, summer seems to be a great time there too. We WILL be booking this location again this summer.
