Our group of 11 which included 5 kids had an amazing long weekend getaway at the Blue Door Inn! There was lots of room to spread out and the outdoor spaces were great! The town is absolutely adorable. The trains were loud but we were expecting that and it didn’t really bother us, in fact the kids loved it! I highly recommend the Blue Door Inn.
Our extended family had a long weekend getaway to do boating & fishing. We rented the entire Blue Door Inn which was fabulous! Walking distance to shops & restaurants in this quaint town. Wonderful winery nearby too! Definitely recommend staying here!
We brought our real estate team to the blue door in for a get away! The space was great, beds were comfy, kitchen had all we needed and every couple had their own space / bathroom! The location is awesome! It is just a short walk down the main drag to some great bars- our favorite was the Red Ram! They had great food and service! This place is a no brainer if you’re looking for a great place to stay in Alma!
We do love staying at this place w/our group. Last year there was firewood to enjoy the outdoor firepit. This year we didnt have any. Truly my only complaint. Great place.
I didn’t appreciate that there is a very active railway right through downtown Alma. The trains paired with a very authentically old building with quirks and squeaks made for some long nights with little ones.
Communications and checkin went well
12 life long friends found a weekend that worked for us all to eat, drink (little too much) and be merry catching up with one another. The place was perfect for our large girlie gathering. The owner had thought of a lot of things normally overlooked. We found the place to clean n cozy
Great place for our annual girls getaway. We enjoyed the large room on the main level to hang out, and also liked the separate apartments for sleeping. The building was really cool, we loved the attention to detail with the decor and antiques. We unfortunately were there only one night and didn’t have time to enjoy the yard and fire pit, it would have been a great place to gather also. For a larger group of friends it was perfect as it offered a lot of room and sleeping spaces.
The Blue Door inn was a great place to stay for me and all my groomsmen the night before my wedding. There was 10 of us so a few guys had to share beds but it worked out fine. We enjoyed sitting around the campfire at night and making breakfast in the morning.
Only negative thing was the fire wood they provided was way too big to be used to start a fire. They were also out of lighter fluid. Quick trip wasn’t too far away though.
Everything was in pristine condition, beautifully decorated, clean and lots of space no matter which unit you stayed in. The beds were very comfortable. the dining and kitchen areas were very large and had up to date/large appliances. the only draw back was the trains that ran all day and night and are quite noisy though ear plugs were available in each unit. There was also a bit of a musty smell due to the age of the building so if you have respiratory issues it might be uncomfortable. All in all this place was amazing and pretty reasonably priced.
