Modern, nicely decorated casita, our guest house, 1 BR, 1.5 bath in the heart of the Zilker neighborhood, walking distance to restaurants and downtown. Highlight is a terrace with fabulous downtown view. It is very private, set in the back of our spacious property. A great place to vacation and enjoy Austin. Quiet neighborhood where everyone knows each other. Perfect place to make home base while exploring Austin. Close to Zilker Park where ACL is held, downtown and famous South Congress district are also nearby.

Long weekend in Austin
Very nice, private unit near restaurants and activities in Austin. The view was terrific from the second floor. The kitchen was well appointed. The king size bed was comfortable. Susana allowed us to park in her carport and was very organized. The unit was nicely decorated and the rain shower was great. We walked down to the river and along the trail system. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you Susana!

Excellent view in Zilker neighborhood
The property is as described, clean and close to everything in South Austin. The host was quickly responsive and helpful on any questions and despite living on the property as well, remained non-intrusive. Perfect spot!!!

Home away from Home
We stayed at this great property as working artists at the Armadillo Christmas Bazaar. We have stayed at several in the past and this is by far the very best. Location is perfect, clean and homie with all amenities. The bed was very comfy after a long work day. We happen to mention that it would be nice to have a smart TV and within days Susana had replaced both televisions with smart TVs. This will definitely be our Austin spot from now on!!

Wonderful first visit to Austin
The property was very well appointed, in kitchen and bath; Many extras I did not expect. The location was amazing and better than I expected. It is in a beautiful neighborhood with many huge trees, so great for walking. It is also very near a main intersection of Barton and Lamar. Twice, I walked to the Barton Springs Pool for an afternoon dip. I also figure out the bus system, so bought a day pass for $2.50 each day and rode the bus to get to and from downtown. I even rode the bus back to the airport to avoid a repeat $55 Uber fare. The bus was quick, easy, and cheap. So many restaurants within easy walking distance too. If I had 3 thumbs, I would give it 3 thumbs up!

Great Zilker-area spot
We were in town for ACL and this was a cool place to stay within walking distance of the festival. Great view of downtown from the upstairs patio! Easy to get to downtown and bar scene.

Austin Stay
We are just returning from a week long stay in Austin and really enjoyed our VRBO there! We stayed as a family of 4 and needed to be close to the Palmer Events Center. This location was great to access Palmer Events Center. There was plenty of space for a family of 4 with a few restaurants and coffee shops in walking distance. The hostess for this property, Susana is wonderful to work with!!! She was always very quick to respond to any questions & very helpful!!! We would stay here again if needing to return to Austin.

Wonderful stay
This was a perfect place to stay while in town for my son’s orientation at UT. I loved the neighborhood. I walked to Merit coffee every morning. The Casita had everything we needed. Loved the rain head shower, everything was clean, and that amazing view from the upstairs deck!

I brought by daughter down for a concert and we stayed here. It's a great spot and a generous host. She slept upstairs on the couch/futon and the memory foam topper was a great touch and added to her comfort. The bed downstairs was comfy and the downstairs generally had a sort of a Studio apartment feel. The few from the upstairs deck is great at night for late night conversations. This place is perfectly located near downtown and so many things to do! Thanks for a great stay!

What a perfect stay - so thoughtfully put together with everything we needed provided. Mornings waking up to that view/ evenings closing it down looking out over the city - just magical! The location couldn't be better. I really couldn't recommend any more highly, it is perfect!

South Lamar Balcony
Very cool spot right off of South Lamar. The place is clean and the balcony is great for happy hour. Also, the location is walkable to the Alamo Draft House and the Gibson bar. Owner is friendly and responded to my questions.

Perfect stay for a trip to Austin
We had a very good time in the guest house of Susana. Perfect view to the skyline of Austin. There was a problem with the lock. Although it occurs on Sunday, Susana solved this problem within an hour. She was very friendly.

This is our guest house. It is in a setting where guests can enjoy privacy. The Zilker neighborhood is a very interactive place where neighbors know each other, take walks, ride bikes. We want to maintain the family oriented environment and ask our guests to respect the neighborhood. No parties please.

Why they chose this property

We live in the heart of Austin, a vibrant city with much to offer. We are within walking distance of numerous restaurants, the hike and bike trails, Zilker Park (short walk to ACL!) and shopping. It is perfect place to stay when coming in for ACL, SXSW, Film Festival, Formula1, Austin Kite Festival, UT football games, XGames. It's a walk or short taxi ride from downtown and UT.
