Winter Weather:
Please note that winter weather in the Tahoe National Forest can bring heavy snowfall. The Wildwood Cabin is conveniently situated before Donner Pass for travelers coming from San Francisco or Sacramento. For guests coming from these locations, you also avoid traffic in Truckee.
The cabin is located on a community plowed and paved road. The driveway is also plowed once a week, which may occur before, during, or after your stay. During heavy snowstorms, you may need to shovel out your cars and walk through some snow (heavy snowfall can bring a few feet of snow) to access the cabin. Always check local road conditions and follow recommended guidelines, including carrying snow chains.
Please be aware that smoking is not allowed, and no pets are permitted. The Wildwood Cabin is equipped with exterior cameras.
