You get the best of two worlds – a taste of the city and a touch of countryside beauty and scenery, by choosing a stay on Cane View Avenue in South Ruimveldt Gardens. All business types – restaurants, snackettes, general merchant stores among others are well represented in this part of the city. Early in the morning one may be tempted to join the folks doing their morning jog or brisk walk in this peaceful neighborhood.

This rental unit is on the ground floor of a two story home and features 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, a full kitchen and living room. Guests will have their own private entry and the entire first level to themselves. There is a fenced backyard with mature trees that lends to that ideal Guyanese style living. Among the local birds one would see flying across this area and alighting on trees along the canal, or feeding in the waterways are, the gaulding, spurwing, toucan, crane, wild duck, wood pecker, kiskadee, pigeon, ground dove, house wren, coot, hawk and vulture. So you need to have your cameras always ready to capture some of the 784 species identified in the avifaunda of Guyana.

Drive and end up on this quiet and peaceful ‘back road’ as the locals call ‘Cane View’, that can take you way up east to the backlands of the city, towards the famous conservancy canal which channels the colored waters of the Mahaica River to the Georgetown Water Works filtration station on Vlissengen Rd., for purification and domestic use in the city.

Parallel to Cane View Avenue to the south side, runs a major canal. Across it lies the now defunct privately owned sugar cane plantation lands, a rich habitat for exotic birds, animals and flora.

Public transportation is easily accessible a short distance from the front door of this property. There are also many taxi options. For those that will consider renting a car, we have a FREE parking space available at the property for use.

4. Please clean Your Dirty Dishes Before Check-Out or You Will Charged A Fee
5. Do Not Use The Premises For Any illegal Activity
6. Guests Should Dispose Of The Garbage In The Trash Can provided and take to the receptable outside when the cans are full. DO NOT leave open food in the home as this will attract pests. Neighborhood trash pick up is weekly on Tuesdays; kindly have all trash from the apartment in the outside receptable ontime for pick up.
