We offer a private chef and home masseuse subject to availability at an additional cost. Details will be provided upon booking confirmation.
Feel good renting from longtime locals here, not out of town investors. This is one of the rare ones around here. Also please note our cleaners are our friends and are paid fairly- every penny of your cleaning fee goes directly to them.

I had a nice weekend staying at this location. There are some safety repairs that need to be made. Clawfoot tub uneven causing the tub to shift while you are getting in and out of it while naked and wet. Too much pressure on the shower hose causing it to literally fly off the handle and spray the whole bathroom. Nails sticking out of the wood around the jacuzzi, splintered wood (tore my friends pants), and unstable stairs getting into and out of the jacuzzi. Oven hadn't been cleaned in a long time, smelled and smoked when we used it. And the kitchen ceiling fan hadn't been cleaned in likely a year. Too dusty to turn on. That said, the owner responded quickly and handled the unstable tub the next day. All other communication was fine as well. I won't stay here again.

About the host
Hosted by Tao Ruspoli
Half Italian, half American film director, photographer, passionate musician and co-founder of The Bombay Beach Biennale. I love the intersection of art, community, architecture, design, and hospitality which is fostered by hosting on Airbnb.
My grandfather had a commune in Italy where he removed the locks from all the doors, psychedelic exploration was encouraged, free love was practiced, and all were welcome.
Today, I feel that we can pursue the same ideals, but having learned from the mistakes and excesses of the 1960s. Airbnb allows us to to have this always evolving, self sustaining communal experience, without the chaos and dysfunction that sometimes came with it (In other words, we get people’s luggage, but hopefully not their baggage!)
The films I am most proud of are Being in the World, “a celebration of being human in a technological age” (through the writings of Martin Heidegger,) and Monogamish, a quest to understand love in the 21st century, starring Dan Savage, Esther Perel and Christopher Ryan.
These days I spend most of my time playing piano and fiddling with synths and guitars in my beloved recording studio on the Yucca Valley compound or down in Bombay Beach while we plan the next Biennale.
Please feel free to get in touch with any questions, concerns or potential creative collaborations.
