Perfect retreat

We booked this for a weekend to get away from the hustle and bustle and it did NOT disappoint! The house was clean, had everything we needed (plus more) and the town was perfect! We used the hot tub which was so fantastic and throughout our stay Beth was so easy to communicate with and had left a little treat basket and other cute details for guest! Would 1000% recommend!

Quick get away

2 nights in Lake City were nice and cozy in this house! The beds were comfy, and the hot tub was enjoyed. There were a lot of nice little extras that I’ll save as surprises for when you book!

Wedding weekend

Great place for my family to stay for a wedding in the area. Relaxing, quiet spot in walking distance to many options in Lake City. The lake is beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our family time this weekend. Hope to be back again soon.

Day getaway

I stayed here with my niece, to spend the night before college started again. It was perfect for creating a meal together, had a big comfy couch. The host provided s’mores and wood for the fire. The neighbor Nate even came across and asked us if we needed help. He even gave us fire fluid and more wood! The hot tub was excellent and clean, nice and toasty. The town is just gorgeous and I loved seeing all the kids riding around on their bikes. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great stay at The Retreat

We stayed at the Retreat for a family fishing trip on Lake Pepin. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and is well kept, well maintained, and clean. Beth, our host, was responsive and easy to reach. She also thought of everything to make our stay more enjoyable, from assorted snacks and coffee to the well equipped kitchen, and toiletries in the bathrooms. Oh, and the hot tub and the plush robes. Beautiful. If I could rate it higher than 5 stars, I would. Highly recommended.

5 star personal touch

We were there for just a few days, but location was great for our traveling needs. Many special touches throughout the house made it very inviting & comfortable for us & our pets! Communication was excellent-prompt responses & pleasant. Definitely want to return, a great place to stay while exploring the beautiful Lake City area.

Relaxing Getaway with my sisters

My sisters and I were looking for a vacation home rental that had a hot tub and 3 bedrooms. This was a perfect fit for us. We were in Lake City during their slower time of year, so there wasn't much going on in the area. We enjoyed our time at the house and in the hot tub. The beds were very comfortable.

Ski Weekend at Welch Village

Everything was great! The house was comfortable and the host was responsive to all communication. Loved the extra touches including the games, stocked coffee bar, and snacks! Even though it was a bit of a drive to Welch Village we Would definitely stay again.

Clean and Comfortable

Property is well maintained and super clean. Amenities were amazing and the owner puts so much care into welcoming details - we had personalized welcome, note and goody basket. She also provides those little things you might forget - like in my case toothpaste :). Soft bathrobes - clean smelling linens. The only thing that I would change or request would be cotton sheets instead of microfiber - we all sleep hot and they are basically plastic so makes for a really warm night LOL. Also, consider running to the grocery store before your and getting distilled water for the (really awesome) coffee machine and extra drinking water. Lake City's water isn't 'horrible' but does have a lot of lime scale. Both totally personal things though - so no shortage of stars for this lovely property!

Girl weekend

Will stay again!

The property owners have renovated this old home to be clean and comfortable. They provide shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the showers, as well as a basket of potential toiletries you may need. The kitchen has water and LeCroix waiting in the refrigerator as well as a basket of snacks for you! Beds are comfortable, home is very spacious, bedrooms are huge with plenty of storage space! Kitchen has option of single cup or pot of coffee and both regular and decaf coffee are provided for you! There are popsicles in the fridge also! Everything is labeled so well it doesn't take long to find anything in the kitchen. It was wonderful to have the hot tub available under the canopy and we sat in it while it was raining! This property even has things to use with your dog if you bring one! Very attentive owners and always asking what else they can do for you and answering questions very quickly! Wonderful property!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Their motto is “all you need is your suitcase” and they definitely lived up to it! The neighborhood is quiet and a short walk to the lake. There is delicious food and cute shops in town. All the locals are so friendly! The house was spacious and comfortable for my family and me. Beth was very responsive and kind when we had a question during our stay. We were pleasantly surprised by the s’more supplies, mints on our bed, and robes. This was definitely better than staying in a hotel! This is one of the best rentals I have stayed in and we would love to come back!

Property was very clean and organized. Property had nice furnishings, and host had list of local favorites and information for us. We have never stayed at a property that made us feel like we were getting house warming gifts: bottled water, snacks, cupcakes, mints on the pillow, even supplies for our dogs. 10/10
