Cozy and Comfortable 1939 Cottage
Close to Wittenberg, Shopping, Restaurants.
Come and stay in our cute cottage home built in 1939, owned and managed by a VRBO Premier Host. (I have one other property in Overland Park, Kansas.) It has much of it's original charm- unpainted woodwork, arches, glass doorknobs, beautiful non-working fireplace with mantle. It's located in a quiet, family neighborhood. You will have a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to make a meal or just a cup of coffee with our new Kuerig coffee maker. There is filtered water and ice from the refrigerator door. There is also a Bose radio in the kitchen. The dining room has seating for 4. The living room has comfortable seating, a tv with Netflix and local channels, and is light and bright. The master bedroom has a queen size bed with a new mattress and good quality 100% cotton linens. There are room darkening drapes on the windows. The smaller bedroom has a twin size bed with a new mattress and good quality 100% cotton linens and has "black out" curtains on the windows. It also has a small desk. All of our sheets and towels are 100% cotton and are washed in "free and clear" detergent. Our bathroom has been recently remodeled with a new sink, toilet and tile floor. There are ceiling fans in both bedrooms, living room and kitchen. Outside you will find a covered back porch to sit outside and a small yard. There is a private drive for parking at the side of the house.

Visiting Springfield for the first time in 25 years, we were excited to find this little gem of a house in the neighborhood where I grew up. Will recommend to family and friends and would definitely rent again.
The house was in a perfect spot for visiting with family and access to Springfield. The AC worked beautifully while it was a typical hot August week. We did have to buy shampoo, conditioner and an iron though as none of this was provided.
Clean and comfortable for the two of us for our weekend stay. The photos online are just as they are in person. Would stay here again. Communication with owner was very good.
